Big Hops is a 3D platformer starring Hop, a young frog who gets abducted by the villain Diss and needs to fight their way home using tongue-swinging, mushroom bouncing, and a backpack full of gadgets. The game launched January 12, 2026 on PC, PS5, and Nintendo Switch with 33 base trophies (36 on PlayStation including the Platinum and 3 Camera Update DLC trophies). None of them are secret, which means you can plan your run from day one without worrying about spoilers.

How many trophies are in Big Hops?

The base game contains 33 trophies/achievements. On PlayStation, a Platinum trophy called Biggest Hops is added, bringing the total to 34. A separate Camera Update DLC adds 3 more trophies, pushing the PlayStation count to 36 total. According to the trophy list documented on playstationtrophies.org, the breakdown is 1 Platinum, 6 Gold, 6 Silver, and 23 Bronze.

The table below covers every base-game trophy. Gold trophies are the most time-consuming since they all involve completing entire collections.

What are the hardest trophies to get?

Most of the list is approachable. The Gold trophies are the real time sinks, and Fast As Frog is the only one that demands a specific skill set.

Fast As Frog (beat the game in under 4 hours)

This is the only trophy that will genuinely test you. Completing Big Hops in under 4 hours means skipping most collectibles and knowing the movement system well enough to chain tongue-swinging and mushroom bouncing efficiently. Treat this as a second-playthrough goal once you know the level layouts.

Collectible Gold trophies

Six of the Gold trophies are pure collection sweeps:

  • Way To Go, Nerd requires identifying every Bug in the game
  • Up For Everything requires finding every Challenge Room
  • Dressed to Frog requires unlocking every Outfit
  • Dripped Out requires tracking down every Dark Drip
  • In Bloom (Silver) requires picking every type of Flower
  • Green Thumb requires discovering every Veggie

These stack naturally with a completionist playthrough. Running through the game once with exploration in mind should net most of them before the credits roll.

How to get the This Sucks trophy

The This Sucks trophy is one of the more story-specific unlocks and easy to miss if you don't know when it triggers. Here's the exact sequence, based on the guide documented by Gamer Social Club:

  1. Progress through the game until you reach the third region, Shattered Mountain.
  2. Collect the final Airship Part in that region.
  3. After collecting it, Diss will offer to take you back to the desert.
  4. On the way back, you'll encounter the Gut Bombs band members, who are arguing again before heading out on tour.
  5. Talk to them. They'll ask you to settle a dispute about what to pack. Your answer doesn't matter either option resolves the argument.
  6. Hop receives a portable Cassette Player as thanks.
  7. Equip the Cassette Player and open the playlist. Scroll to the very bottom to find the Gut Bombs EP.
  8. Play either of the two tracks on the EP. The This Sucks trophy pops immediately.

What are the Camera Update DLC trophies?

The Camera Update DLC adds 3 trophies exclusive to PlayStation:

These are all tied to Cappler, a new NPC introduced in the update. The Real Frogtographer trophy pairs naturally with the base-game Frogtographer trophy (take your first photo) and just requires you to keep snapping shots throughout your playthrough.

Tips for a clean completionist run

Based on the full trophy breakdown, here's how to approach 100% without doubling back unnecessarily:

  • Do your collectible sweep first. Bugs, Flowers, Veggies, Mixtapes, Dark Drips, and NPCs are all easier to track on a dedicated exploration run than to hunt retroactively.
  • Gadget trophies (Drill, Railgun, Swim Scooter) are tied to crafting progression and should unlock naturally as you play.
  • Eating trophies conflict with each other. Vegetarian and Growing Boy (eat 100 Sandwiches) are compatible since sandwiches aren't meat, but Actually, They're a Good Source of Protein (eat a Bug) will void Vegetarian. Decide which you want before you start.
  • Save Fast As Frog for a second run once you know the game.
  • Gotta Go Frog (break 100mph) will likely unlock naturally if you master the movement system, but keep it in mind during high-speed sections.
