With a completely refreshed moveset, sharper animations, and a domain mechanic that buffs everything inside it, this Mythical fruit now sits at the top of the conversation for both PvP and grinding. Whether you're chasing it for the first time or returning to see what changed, this guide covers everything you need to know.

How to Get the Control Fruit in Blox Fruits

There are four main ways to get your hands on the Control Fruit, and each one comes with its own trade-offs.

Purchase from the Blox Fruit Dealer

The most direct method is buying it from the Blox Fruit Dealer inside the cafe at Second Sea. The base price sits at $3,200,000 in-game currency or 2,500 Robux. Paying with Robux permanently locks the fruit to your inventory, while the in-game currency version can be replaced if you eat another fruit later. Note that since the Control Fruit Rework update, its trade value has increased significantly, so prices in player markets may reflect that.

Roll at the Blox Fruits Gacha

If the Dealer is out of stock, you can try your luck at the Blox Fruits Gacha. Higher-tier fruits like Control have a very low drop rate here, so this route requires patience and ideally a stockpile of rolls. The cost of each roll also scales upward the more fruits you purchase, so budget accordingly.

Trade with Other Players

Given Control's elevated post-rework value, trading for it requires offering something substantial. Fruits like Yeti, Mammoth, or Tiger are commonly listed as fair trade equivalents, though market values shift constantly. Always verify current trade values before committing.

Find a Randomly Dropped Fruit

Fruits spawn randomly across the map at set intervals. Without a Fruit Locator, finding Control this way is largely down to luck, but it remains a free option worth keeping in mind during active play sessions.

What Does the Control Fruit Passive Do?

The Control Fruit's passive revolves entirely around its Domain mechanic. Activating the Domain surrounds you with a blue aura and fundamentally changes how every move functions. Inside the Domain, you gain:

  • Faster cooldowns on all abilities
  • Increased damage and expanded hitboxes
  • Access to two distinct combat modes: Hands Mode and Dagger Mode
  • The ability to walk on water
  • Different visual effects and animations for each move

Outside the Domain, your moves still function but at reduced potency. The Domain is the heart of this fruit's identity, and learning when to activate and reposition it is the key skill that separates average Control users from dangerous ones.

All Control Fruit Moves Explained

Control Fruit moves unlock progressively as your mastery increases. The table below gives you a quick reference for every ability, both inside and outside the Domain.

Breaking Down Each Move

X Attack (1 Mastery): This is your primary opener. Outside the Domain, you dash to the enemy, stun them, and let the dagger do the slicing automatically before reassembling the target at a distance. Inside the Domain with Hands Mode active, it fires a shockwave that fragments enemies and buries them under cubes.

Z Attack (1 Mastery): Your Domain toggle. Activate it to enter the buffed state, deactivate to close it. If you move away from your Domain while it's active, pressing Z again snaps it back to your current position. This repositioning tool is critical in fast-paced PvP.

C Attack (150 Mastery): Outside the Domain, the dagger travels forward and returns like a boomerang, dragging enemies back toward you. Inside the Domain in Dagger Mode, it becomes a three-hit directional barrage you can aim as a wide AOE or a focused blast. In Hands Mode, hexagons rain down from above and smash targets into the ground.

F Attack (250 Mastery): A teleport move that closes distance instantly. Throw the dagger, then blink to its location. Any enemies hit by the dagger get cut up on arrival. This is your gap-closer and escape tool in one.

V Attack (350 Mastery): The Domain shifts from blue to purple when this fires. The short-press version delivers a rapid series of slashes paired with cube volleys. The held version goes cinematic: you jump onto cubes, launch the enemy upward, and slash them repeatedly for massive damage. Save this for when you've already landed your combo starters.

How to Play Control Fruit Effectively

What's the Best Combo Approach for Control Fruit?

The Domain is not optional if you want to play Control at full strength. The moment you engage, activating Z should be your first priority. From there, the general flow looks like this:

  • Open with X Attack to stun and close distance
  • Follow immediately with C Attack to pull the enemy back in or deal burst damage
  • Use F Attack to teleport in and extend the combo
  • Finish with V Attack (held version) for maximum damage

The Domain's faster cooldowns mean you can chain these moves more aggressively than the base cooldowns would normally allow. Repositioning the Domain mid-fight with Z keeps you inside the buff zone even when opponents try to kite you out of it.

Is Control Fruit Good for Grinding?

Yes, though it shines brightest in PvP. For grinding, the Domain's AOE potential through C Attack and Hands Mode cube throws lets you hit multiple enemies at once. The X Attack opener works well for pulling enemies into kill range, and the teleport on F Attack keeps you mobile between target clusters.

For pure grinding efficiency, fruits like Rumble or Quake offer more straightforward AOE spam, but Control holds its own in high-density areas once you're comfortable with the Domain positioning.

Should You Awaken Control Fruit?

Awakening the Control Fruit unlocks even stronger versions of its abilities, pushing the damage and combo potential further beyond what the base reworked kit already offers. If you've invested in this fruit for PvP, awakening it is the natural next step once your mastery is high enough. The rework alone made Control significantly stronger, and awakening builds on that foundation.

Control Fruit vs. Other Top Fruits for PvP and Grinding

Control stands out for its combo depth and the Domain's ability to turn a single engagement into a sustained pressure situation. Other fruits beat it on raw AOE spam for pure grinding, but no fruit in this tier matches Control's ceiling in skilled hands.

Key Tips Before You Start

  • Mastery matters. The best moves unlock at 150 and 250 mastery. Rush to those thresholds before judging the fruit's power.
  • Practice Domain repositioning. The Z toggle is not just an on/off switch. Using it to snap the Domain to your current position mid-fight is a skill that takes deliberate practice.
  • Dagger Mode vs. Hands Mode. Both modes inside the Domain have distinct strengths. Dagger Mode favors sustained slashing pressure, while Hands Mode delivers burst AOE through cubes and hexagons. Learn which mode suits each situation.
  • The held V Attack is worth the setup. The cinematic finisher deals considerably more damage than the tap version. If you've landed your combo starters, always hold V for the full sequence.
