Remedy Entertainment has opened pre-orders for CONTROL Resonant, and there are enough editions and platform-specific wrinkles to make the decision genuinely confusing. Three tiers, two pre-order outfits, a PlayStation-exclusive bonus, and a 48-hour early access window that only one edition unlocks. Here is everything you need to know before putting money down.
What editions does Control Resonant come in?
The game launches on September 24, 2026, across three distinct tiers. Each one targets a different kind of buyer, so it is worth knowing exactly what separates them before checkout.

Digital Deluxe Edition contents
Standard Edition ($59.99)
The Standard Edition is the base package. You get the full game, nothing more. If you pre-order the Standard Edition, you do pick up the universal pre-order bonuses (more on those below), but there are no extras bundled in at launch. This is the right call if you want to play the game without paying for content you might never use.
Digital Deluxe Edition ($69.99)
The Digital Deluxe Edition packs the most value for players who plan to stick with Control Resonant long-term. The $10 premium over Standard gets you:
- AWE Mission Outfit (exclusive to this edition)
- 48-hour Early Access (PS5 exclusive)
- Digital Artbook
- Original Soundtrack
- Starter Resource Bundle
- Untapped Artifact (Wallet)
The Expansion Pass is the standout here if Remedy follows its usual post-launch content cadence. Locking in future expansions at a bundled rate tends to save money compared to buying them individually later.
The 48-hour Early Access window is only available on PS5 through the Digital Deluxe Edition. PC and Xbox players do not get early access regardless of which edition they buy.
Steelbook Edition ($69.99)
The Steelbook Edition matches the Digital Deluxe price at $69.99 but trades the digital extras for physical collectibles:
- Steelbook case
- Fine Art Prints
- Key Art Poster
Notably, the Steelbook Edition does not include the AWE Mission Outfit, the Digital Artbook, the Soundtrack, or the Expansion Pass. This edition exists for collectors who care about shelf presence more than in-game content. If you are primarily a digital player, the Digital Deluxe Edition delivers more practical value at the same price.
What are the Control Resonant pre-order bonuses?
Pre-ordering the Standard or Digital Deluxe Edition unlocks three bonuses, two of which are available everywhere and one that is tied to PlayStation:
- Hiss Corruption Outfit (all platforms)
- Pickpocket's Tool Artifact (all platforms)
- Occult Outfit (PlayStation pre-orders only)
The Occult Outfit is a PlayStation-exclusive pre-order bonus. If you are buying on PC through Steam or Epic, or on Xbox, you will not receive this outfit regardless of which edition you pick.
The Steelbook Edition does not list the standard pre-order bonuses in its contents breakdown, so confirm with your retailer whether physical edition pre-orders qualify before assuming you will receive them.

How to pre-order Control Resonant on every platform

Search for Control Resonant directly in the Steam store, select your preferred edition, add it to your cart, and complete payment. The game will appear in your library and unlock automatically on release day.
Epic Games Store (PC)
Open the Epic Games Store and search for Control Resonant. Select your edition, hit the Pre-Purchase button, enter your payment details, and the game will be ready on launch day.
PlayStation Store
Search for Control Resonant in the PlayStation Store, choose your edition, and select Pre-Order. PS5 players buying the Digital Deluxe Edition also secure the 48-hour early access window, which means playing from September 22, 2026.
Xbox Series X/S
Open the Microsoft Store on your console, search for Control Resonant, and select the pre-order option. The game will download automatically when it releases.
Which edition should you buy?
Here is the short version after looking at every tier:
- Buy the Standard Edition if you want the game at the lowest entry price and have no strong interest in cosmetics or post-launch expansions.
- Buy the Digital Deluxe Edition if you are on PS5 and want early access, or if the Expansion Pass aligns with how long you plan to play.
- Buy the Steelbook Edition if you collect physical gaming memorabilia and the in-game extras are irrelevant to you.
For most players, the Digital Deluxe Edition offers the clearest value proposition at $69.99, particularly if the Expansion Pass covers at least two DLC releases. The Steelbook Edition at the same price makes sense only as a display piece.
