Backup Plan is the second quest in the Casus Belli event, which runs until April 15, 2026. It follows directly from the Casus Belli task, where you eliminate five Pillagers, the new faction added specifically for this event. Backup Plan is simpler in concept but demands careful routing because of the mid-raid transition mechanic.
The quest is handed out by Ref, and completing it moves you on to the next task in the chain, called Taking What's Mine.

What do you need to bring into the raid?
Before you load into Woods, make sure you have a Grizzly medkit in your backpack or on your character. This is a hard requirement for the task, not just a suggestion for staying alive. You cannot complete the stash step without it.

How to find the large barn on Woods
Once you're on Woods, your first stop is the Old Sawmill point of interest. The large barn is the biggest structure at that location, so it stands out from the smaller outbuildings nearby. You're looking for a building large enough to be unmistakable when you're standing at the sawmill.
Hide the Grizzly medkit anywhere inside the large barn to complete that part of the objective. You don't need to place it in a specific container or spot inside the building, just get it inside the barn.

How to complete the mid-raid transition to Customs
After stashing the Grizzly in the barn, you need to reach the transition point between Woods and Customs. This is the step that catches most players off guard. Mid-raid transitions mean you carry your current health state, gear, and inventory into the next map, so staying healthy and well-stocked before you cross is worth the extra time.

How to finish the quest on Customs
Once you're in Customs, the objective is to eliminate any six targets. These do not need to be Pillagers specifically, so any enemies you encounter count toward the total. After clearing six kills, survive and extract from Customs normally to complete the task.
Hand the completed quest to Ref to wrap up Backup Plan and unlock Taking What's Mine.
