The Reforged Infinity Blade is back in Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 2, and it's exactly as disruptive as you'd hope. Team Ice King's milestone unlock brought this reworked Chapter 1 Mythic to the island, and while it's slightly less powerful than the original, it's still one of the most dominant weapons you can hold in a match. The catch? You can't just land on it. Here's everything you need to know.
Where does the Reforged Infinity Blade spawn?
Unlike the original Infinity Blade from Chapter 1, which had a fixed location, the Reforged version has no set spawn point. It appears through a Rift Anomaly that activates during a Battle Royale match, most often when the third storm circle begins to form. When the anomaly goes live, a unique icon marks the blade's location on the map.
The Reforged Infinity Blade is not guaranteed to appear in every match. It's tied to the Rift Anomaly activating, so some games will pass without it spawning at all.
Once you spot the icon, get there fast. Other players will be racing for it too, and whoever reaches it first has a real advantage.

How to claim the Reforged Infinity Blade
When you reach the blade's location, you'll find it stuck in the ground. Interact with it (E on PC, Square on PlayStation, X on Xbox) to begin the pull animation. The claim takes 6 seconds, which is a long time in an active match.
Those 6 seconds leave you completely exposed. Before you start the pull, clear the immediate area of enemies. Getting interrupted mid-claim means another player can swoop in after you've done the work.
Once claimed, the blade takes up 2 inventory slots, a significant improvement over the original's 5-slot requirement. That leaves room for movement tools like the Skyline Deployer or other weapons to cover longer ranges.
What can the Reforged Infinity Blade do?
The blade ships with three distinct attacks, each suited to different situations in a fight.
The Leap Attack is the standout move for aggressive plays. It punches through enemy builds on the way in, which removes the usual defensive advantage opponents have in build mode. The Air Slam pairs naturally with the Leap Attack: jump in, then slam down for back-to-back 110-damage hits if you land them correctly.
Passive buffs that come with the blade
Holding the Reforged Infinity Blade doesn't just give you three attacks. It also applies a set of passive bonuses that stack on top of your base stats:
- +25 Health
- +25 Shield
- 1 HP/Shield regeneration per second
- Siphon: 50 HP/Shield restored on each elimination
- 30% movement speed boost
The siphon effect is what makes this weapon genuinely terrifying in the late game. Chain a few eliminations and you're walking into the final circle at full health and shield while moving 30% faster than everyone else.
Pair the blade with a long-range weapon in your remaining slots. The Reforged Infinity Blade dominates up close, but you'll want a fallback option for opponents who keep their distance and force you to close the gap.
Is the Reforged Infinity Blade worth going for?
Absolutely, as long as the Rift Anomaly spawns. The 2-slot footprint makes it far more practical than the Chapter 1 version, and the passive buff package turns you into a self-sustaining threat. The siphon alone justifies the detour to claim it.
The main downside is the 6-second claim window. In a late-game scenario with multiple squads converging on the same icon, that's a real risk. Scout the area before you commit to the pull, and have a teammate cover you if you're playing squads.
