Treasure Cars in Forza Horizon 6 are some of the best free vehicles in the game, and they're exclusive: you can't buy them, unlock them through events, or find them in the Autoshow. The only way to add them to your garage is to physically drive to where they're parked and collect them. The problem is Japan's map is enormous, and the photo clues the game hands you are, charitably speaking, not very precise. A railway bridge. Some radio towers. A waterfall. Great.
After tracking down all 9 across every region, here's every location broken down clearly so you can go straight to each car.
How do Treasure Cars work in Forza Horizon 6?
Treasure Cars function differently from Barn Finds. You don't need to reach a specific Discover Japan level before hunting them down — they're accessible from the moment you start exploring. When you drive near one of these cars, your radio contact Mei will mention a rumor about an abandoned vehicle, and the car's details get added to your Treasure Cars list in the Cars menu.
Once you reach the car, press the collect command and a short cutscene plays. You then choose to drive it immediately or store it in your garage. There are exactly 9 Treasure Cars, one per region across Japan's map.
You can switch to drone mode by pressing down then up on the D-pad to scan an area quickly when you're in the right region but struggling to spot the exact location.
All 9 cars are completely free. No in-game credits, no microtransactions required (though an optional paid Treasure Map exists if you want to skip the hunt entirely).

All 9 Treasure Car locations
1991 Nissan Figaro (Tokyo City)
The Figaro sits in a small car park along the southern coast of Tokyo City. The clue photo shows the Rainbow Bridge in the background, but the bridge is visible from a wide stretch of coastline, making it less useful than it sounds. The specific car park you want is the one east of the westernmost bridge in the city — the one connecting Tokyo City to the small island where the Drift Club Japan story is based. Drive east from that bridge along the shore and you'll find the Figaro waiting.

1969 Dodge Charger R/T (Minamino)
The Charger is the first Treasure Car most players encounter, since you earn your first Horizon Festival wristband in the Minamino region. Head to the golf course in the centre of Minamino. The clue confirms it's behind the clubhouse — specifically, it's tucked behind a 365 convenience store at the front of the golf course, right next to the Airfield Trail dirt racing event. Go around the back of that store and you'll see it.
1985 Mazda RX-7 GSL-SE (Ohtani)
Ohtani has multiple clusters of radio towers, which makes the clue photo frustrating to act on. The tower you want is on the western edge of the region, near the border with Shimanoyama and west of the Ohtani Horizon Festival Site. Look for the area with three red radio towers plus a larger white tower nearby, along with a wooden house. The RX-7 is parked on the southeast side of the tower cluster, below one of the red towers. An off-road trail from the Shimanoyama border leads directly to it.
There are several radio tower clusters in Ohtani. If you only see one or two red towers without the white tower nearby, you're at the wrong location.
1985 Nissan Safari Turbo (Ito)
Ito is mountainous and large, and the Wind Farm clue doesn't narrow it down much given the region's terrain. Head to the northeast side of Ito, past the Toyota 2000GT Barn Find and Minka House, toward the northmost point of the region. A winding dirt path climbs the hill to the wind farm. The Safari Turbo is parked at the base of one of the turbines, beside some railings and boxes on the west side of the mountain. It sits just slightly southwest of the Turbine Trail drift zone
1987 Porsche 959 (Shimanoyama)
Shimanoyama doesn't have many buildings, which actually helps here. The Porsche 959 is parked outside a 365 convenience store in the post town of Narai-Juku, located in the north of the region. From the stadium in Shimanoyama, head northwest and follow the road into the town. Continue east to find a large car park with the convenience store nearby. The 959 is right out front. This location also overlaps with a Barn Find (the Mitsubishi #1 Sierra Sierra Enterprises Lancer Evolution Time Attack), so you may be able to grab both if your Discover Japan rank is at Adventurer level.

2005 Ford GT (Nangan)
The Ford GT is consistently reported as one of the trickier finds because its coastal trail location doesn't appear on the main road map. Head to the far southeastern corner of Nangan and follow the road closest to the coastline. When you reach the point where the road gets nearest to the shore, look for a small parking area marked by a yellow sign. Two paths branch from there — take either one heading east and you'll reach the lookout point where the GT is parked, overlooking Tokyo City in the distance.
If you're struggling to spot the path from the road, switch to drone mode here. The coastal trail is narrow enough that it's easy to miss at speed.
1981 BMW M1 (Hokubu)
The railway runs the entire length of Hokubu, so the clue photo of a railway bridge column is almost useless on its own. The BMW M1 is parked at the northern end of the railway bridge, close to the Takashiro region border, where the bridge cuts through open farm fields. It's northeast of the colorful flower fields visible on the map and just southeast of the Hokubu Ascent street race. Drive along the railway line toward the north of the region and you won't miss it.
1995 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution III GSR (Takashiro)
The Lancer Evolution has the most scenic spot of any Treasure Car in the game. It's parked on a dirt road leading to a waterfall in the far western corner of Takashiro, not far from a temple. Follow the road beside a small torii gate and take the path on the right side toward the waterfall. The Evo III is sitting right there beside the river. It's also just north of the Temple Run-Up speed zone, which makes a useful landmark. This location overlaps with the Nissan #23 Pennzoil NISMO Skyline GT-R Barn Find if you've been building your Discover Japan rank.
1974 Lancia Stratos HF Stradale (Sotoyama)
Sotoyama is almost entirely snow-covered, so a clue photo showing snow isn't much help. The Lancia Stratos is parked beside a wooden lodge on the snowy path up to Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route, near the centre of the Sotoyama region. Starting from the Hakusan Mountain Lodge on the eastern side, take the road heading west through the mountain pass. Look for a large light brown building on the right side of the road — the Stratos is just outside it. It sits just down the hill from the Off Piste Wristband Event, which is another solid reference point.
What do you unlock for finding all 9 Treasure Cars?
Collecting all 9 Treasure Cars earns you an in-game emblem for your player card plus an Xbox Achievement or Steam Achievement (depending on your platform). You also walk away with 9 free cars that can't be obtained any other way in the game, which is the real reward for anyone building out a complete garage.
Treasure Cars are separate from Barn Finds. Barn Finds require you to increase your Discover Japan level before the search areas appear. Treasure Cars have no such prerequisite — you can collect them in any order, at any point in the game.
If you're hunting down every hidden vehicle in the game, the complete Forza Horizon 6 Barn Finds guide with all 15 locations covers the other major collectible car system and explains exactly how the Discover Japan stamp unlock system works.
