Forza Horizon 6 Career Mode Detailed ...

Forza Horizon 6 marks a real shift in how Playground Games handles progression. Instead of the sprawling, pick-your-own-path structure from previous entries, FH6 uses a Wristband system that gates events behind milestone achievements. Hit the right milestones, earn a Wristband, unlock Rush and Showcase events, repeat. The loop is satisfying once you understand what actually moves the needle and what's just noise.

What are Wristbands in Forza Horizon 6?

Wristbands are progression milestones awarded when you hit specific point thresholds in Horizon Events. Each Wristband tier you earn opens up Rush and Showcase events, which in turn unlock the next Wristband level. Completing those Rush and Showcase events is what pushes you into the next tier, so there's always a clear next step on the board.

The key thing to understand is that points come from many sources simultaneously. No single activity dominates, which means the fastest path forward is stacking multiple smaller gains rather than grinding one thing obsessively.

How to get Wristbands fast

Win races and tune your difficulty

Race completions hand out a solid XP chunk toward your next Wristband, and there's a separate bonus on top for actually winning. The practical advice here is to drop Drivatar difficulty to a level where you're consistently taking first place. The win bonus is worth it.

That said, the source material is clear on one limit: if you lose a race, it's not worth restarting and replaying just to chase the win bonus. Move on. The time spent replaying doesn't pay off compared to running fresh events.

Take Horizon Promo photos of every car in the event

With over 600 cars in the game, the Horizon Promo photo system adds up more than it looks. Each car photo is worth 10 points toward your Wristband. Across 600-plus cars, that's a potential total of over 6,000 points.

The efficient approach isn't to pull every car out of your garage for solo photo sessions. Instead, drop into photo mode at the start of each race and snap every vehicle lined up in the event. You're getting multiple photos per race with zero extra time investment.

Smash XP boards

XP boards scattered across Japan's map don't deliver massive individual payouts, but they're consistent and easy to grab while driving between events. The point values break down like this:

None of these will single-handedly push you to the next tier, but combined with everything else, they're free points that require almost no detour.

Drive everywhere instead of fast traveling

Forza Horizon 6 removes the cost for fast travel entirely and adds an auto-drive feature, but using either one to skip the journey is leaving points on the table. Driving the route yourself means passing through Horizon Stunt events: Speed Traps, Danger Zones, and Drift Zones all contribute toward your Wristband total.

Beyond the stunt bonuses, driving manually uncovers new regions, points of interest, and Mascots that feed into your Explore Japan level. That level unlocks player houses and Barn Finds, so the benefits compound. For a full picture of what Japan's map has in store, the Forza Horizon 6 beginner's guide covers the major regions and what to expect from each.

Link Skills are new to FH6. Complete the same Skill as another nearby player (no Convoy required) and you both earn Skill Points. The first time you pull off a new Link Skill, you get 10 points toward your Wristband.

The fastest way to farm these is to partner with another player and run through the easy ones back to back: Drift, Burnout, Air, Speed. These are quick to trigger and the first-completion bonus hits each time you knock off a new one.

Use the Collection Book to find what you're missing

The Collection Book is your best diagnostic tool when you're not sure where your next points are coming from. It lists every event available, the bonuses for winning each one, all Horizon Stunt stars, and tracks your progress at Drag Meets and Time Attacks.

Both Drag Meets and Time Attacks have first-completion bonuses, and those bonuses apply individually per car class. That means running the same Drag Meet in a different class counts as a separate completion with its own reward.

What's the fastest single method for earning Wristband points?

No single method dominates, but race wins combined with Horizon Promo photos at the start of each event is the highest-efficiency combo. You're earning race completion XP, win bonuses, and photo points all from the same event. Add manual driving between events for Stunt bonuses and the rate compounds quickly.

The Collection Book is what ties it all together: check it regularly to make sure you're not leaving first-completion bonuses unclaimed.

Where to go from here

Once you've got your Wristband grind sorted, the next priority is building out your garage. With over 600 cars available, knowing which ones to target first makes a real difference. The complete Forza Horizon 6 car list and unlock guide covers every confirmed vehicle, Barn Finds, and how to get them.
