How Do You Change the Weather in Pokémon Pokopia?

Changing the weather comes down to building the right habitat and bringing the right Pokémon to it. You have two options to set up: a Sunny Day Site or a Rain Dance Site. Both habitats share the same construction recipe, which keeps things simple.

Here is the clever part most players miss: the Sunny Day Site and Rain Dance Site are technically the same habitat. The Castform Weather Charm is a flip item. Interact with it and it rotates between its Rain Form and Sunny Form. Both charms on your wall need to match the weather you want to trigger. If you want rain, flip both to Rain Form. If you want sun, flip both to Sunny Form.

Which Pokémon Perform the Weather Dance?

Once your habitat is ready with food on the plate, you need to bring a Pokémon over to perform the dance. The Pokémon you choose depends on the weather you want.

The Pokémon will eat the food, perform either a Rain Dance or Sunny Day, and the weather shifts shortly after. Any Pokémon with the matching specialty will do the job, so use whoever you have available.

How Do You Get Castform Weather Charms?

You will need at least two Castform Weather Charms to build your first weather habitat. Thankfully, there are several reliable ways to collect them.

Story Reward

You will receive your first Castform Weather Charm as part of the main story. When you reach the point in Withered Wastelands where you need to raise humidity and make it rain with Slowpoke, speak to Professor Tangrowth and he will hand one over.

Pokémon Center Terminal

A second charm can be purchased directly from the Pokémon Center Terminal. This is the fastest way to get the pair you need for your first habitat.

Dream Islands and Lost Relics

For any additional charms beyond your first two, keep these methods in mind:

• Dream Islands: Climb the ladder in the starting tower of every Dream Island you visit. A Castform Weather Charm is typically waiting there.
• Lost Relic drops: Charms appear occasionally as Lost Relic items found throughout the world.

1. Progress through the Withered Wastelands story mission until Professor Tangrowth gives you your first Castform Weather Charm.
2. Head to the Pokémon Center Terminal and purchase the second charm.
3. Build your habitat, hang both charms on the wall, and set them to match your desired weather.
4. Place any food on the Plated Food dish.
5. Bring a Water Specialty or Burn Specialty Pokémon to the site and let them perform the dance.
6. Wait briefly for the weather to change, then start hunting.
