The Stomach Mines are exactly the kind of area Mina the Hollower specializes in: a puzzle that looks confusing until the moment it clicks, then feels obvious in hindsight. Getting here requires first reaching Bone Beach and locating the sparkly floor in the upper east corner of the area near the beached creature. Fall through it, follow the path, and you're in.
What's the layout of the Stomach Mines?
The Stomach Mines revolve around a central burrow surrounded by moving walkways. That burrow is the key to everything. Stepping through it transports Mina to a mirrored version of the same space, and that alternate version has its own sparkly floor sections that let you reach spots blocked off in the original layout.
Before doing anything else, clear the enemies in the middle of the room. Trying to manage the platforming puzzles with enemies active is a reliable way to lose progress and patience at the same time.

How do you hit the first button?
The first button sits on the left side of the room. Grab the bat handles on the left and fling Mina across the gap into the square-shaped hole. That's the button location.
Before you move on, there's a smaller rectangular hole just below the square one. Dropping through it rewards you with a golden Skull, so don't skip it.

How do you hit the second button?
The second button takes more setup. Head to the right side of the area after passing through the central burrow. Watch the bat handles on the bottom right corner: when they start to despawn, let Mina fall through the floor. You'll land to the left of a key.
From that landing spot, bounce on the purple ball to reach the switch. Activating the switch starts spawning additional purple balls onto the top conveyor belt.
Once two or more balls are on the top conveyor, drop back down to the original fall point. Hit the bottom obstacle to clear it, then use the stacked purple balls to bounce upward in sequence until you land on the platform holding the second button.
What happens after both buttons are pressed?
With both buttons activated, the path north through the Stomach Mines opens up. Return to the center area and proceed north to continue through the rest of the level.
The Stomach Mines are a good example of how the game layers its puzzle logic: the same central burrow mechanic you used to enter the alternate version is the same tool you'll use to position Mina for the second button. Once you recognize that pattern, the rest of the area reads more clearly.
