How to Unlock the Finding the Regalfin Side Quest
This Rank 1 side quest becomes available in your quest menu after finishing the main story quest Audience. Once that's done, head to Broadleaf Basin in the Azuria region and look for an NPC called the Dressmaker. She stands near the edge of the lake on the western shore, gazing out at the water. Where Is the Regalfin? (Exact Location)
After accepting the quest, a blue question mark side quest marker appears on a large island in the southwest corner of the lake. Here's the catch that trips up almost every new player: the Regalfin is not sitting on top of the island where the marker sits. It's hiding in a submerged cave on the northwest side of that island, accessible only by swimming.
How to Reach the Cave Entrance
There are two practical routes to the cave:
- Swimming route (recommended): Mount a Monstie that can swim, such as Plesioth or Royal Ludroth, and swim south from the Dressmaker's position toward the island. Hug the northwest side of the island until you spot the cave entrance beneath the waterline.
- Flying approach: Fast travel to the Ancient Battleground Catavan Stand, fly south to the island, then hop down over the northwest edge to find the cave entrance from above.

The lake is patrolled by wild Plesioth, and they move fast in the water. If you just left Azuria Castle for the first time, these monsters will outpace you easily and are tough to fight at that stage. Avoid engaging them and focus on reaching the cave.Do You Need a Swimming Monstie?
You can technically swim to the cave without a Monstie, but it's a frustrating experience. The wild Plesioth in the water will catch up to you quickly, and the swim itself takes much longer on foot. Hatching a Plesioth or Royal Ludroth egg before attempting this quest makes the whole thing painless.
