Neverness to Everness launched with 14 playable characters and a gacha system that works differently from most of its competitors. Before you spend 20-plus minutes grinding through a new account hoping for a lucky pull, you should know that NTE's pity structure changes the math on rerolling significantly. Here's everything you need to know about whether to bother, and if you do, exactly who to target.

How long does rerolling take in Neverness to Everness?
A full reroll cycle takes approximately 20 minutes per account.
The gacha system, called the Scarborough Fair, only unlocks after you finish the prologue and arrive in Hethereau with Mint. You cannot pull before that point, so there's no shortcut around the opening sequence.

Here's the full process step by step:
- Create a new account using a real email address. Avoid throwaway generator emails since you'll want the account to be recoverable if you land a good result.
- Launch the game on the new account and skip every cutscene and dialogue exchange you can.
- Once you reach Hethereau and unlock the Scarborough Fair, open the inbox on your in-game smartphone and claim all pre-registration and event rewards.
- Enter any active redeem codes for additional Annulith.
- Open the summon menu via the dice icon in the top right of the HUD, then select Enter Fair to begin pulling. You can skip board animations to see results faster.
With pre-registration milestones fulfilled, you start with roughly 40 Standard Rolls and enough currency to do at least 10 Limited Rolls.
Who should you target when rerolling?
The standard banner includes a character selector that guarantees an S-class agent after 50 pulls. That means your reroll strategy should focus on what you pull before hitting that selector, since the selector itself is a guaranteed floor.

Sakiri is the top target because she functions as the best support character at launch and directly strengthens Nanally, who is the featured limited banner character. If you're planning to pull for Nanally on the limited banner (which you should be, given the pity system), getting Sakiri early through the standard banner is the most efficient setup.
For the limited banner, the primary reroll criterion is pulling Nanally before hitting hard pity. Getting her early means you can start saving currency for future limited characters sooner.
Is rerolling actually worth it in Neverness to Everness?
Here's the honest answer: probably not, and the reason is specific to how NTE's pity system works.
Most gacha games have a 50/50 mechanic on limited banners, meaning you can lose your pity to the wrong character. That's the core reason rerolling exists in games like Genshin Impact or Honkai: Star Rail. NTE removes that variable entirely. You are guaranteed to receive the featured limited banner character at hard pity, with no 50/50 loss condition. That fundamentally changes the value of rerolling.
Because NTE guarantees the limited banner character at hard pity with no 50/50 mechanic, the main reason players reroll in other gacha games simply does not apply here. You will get the character you're saving for.
That said, rerolling is still a personal call. If you want Sakiri or Jiuyuan in your account before the 50-pull selector, and you're willing to spend 20 to 30 minutes per attempt, the process is straightforward enough. Just go in with realistic expectations rather than treating it as a necessity.
