Two Point Studio and SEGA Europe, in partnership with Rovio, are bringing the Angry Birds franchise into Two Point Museum as part of a free update landing on March 31, 2026. The update pairs a full Angry Birds Digiverse Rift with a spring seasonal drop, making it one of the more content-packed free updates the game has received since launch.

What the Angry Birds rift actually adds

The Digiverse is Two Point Museum's ever-expanding expedition map, letting players pull exhibits and decorations from entirely different universes into their museums. The Angry Birds rift opens up Piggy Island as an explorable destination, split across three new Points of Interest: Cobalt Plateaus, Bamboo Forest, and Pig City.

Here's the thing, though, it's not just cosmetic. Red and the rest of the flock show up as active participants, helping excite bird-loving guests while fending off Bad Piggies that would otherwise trample through your carefully curated halls. The rift delivers 9 new exhibits in total, including an interactive display and roaming Wildlife exhibits, plus new Angry Birds-branded Gift Shop items and themed wallpaper and flooring.

Spring seasonal content running alongside the crossover

Separate from the Angry Birds content, the spring seasonal update adds its own batch of material. Two new Points of Interest make up the Easter Isles, tucked away in the Scorched Earth region, where players can find fluffy Habitat critters emerging from hibernation and new Botany exhibits.

The seasonal content also introduces a new visitor type, the Egg Hunters, drawn in by the Easter-themed exhibits. Practically speaking, curators get Chocolate Cake Kiosks and chocolate egg baskets as new food and gift options, which should help with visitor satisfaction numbers during the event window.

Quality-of-life changes rounding out the update

Beyond the crossover and seasonal content, the March 31 update brings several additions that players who have been running their museums for a while will notice immediately. Curator-Class rewards are expanding to cover higher levels of museum management, giving veteran players something new to chase. Picnic Tables arrive as new outdoor furniture, and Briny Bay gets populated with marine life specifically for water-based exhibits.

For players who have been asking for more outdoor customization options or deeper progression rewards, this update addresses both at once.

What this means for players heading into spring

The Angry Birds crossover is a smart fit for Two Point Museum's Digiverse format. The game launched on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S in March 2025, and the Digiverse has been the primary vehicle for keeping the content calendar moving. Pulling in a franchise with the recognition of Angry Birds signals that Two Point Studio has real crossover ambitions for the system going forward.

For full details on everything included in the update, the press release from Two Point Studio breaks down the complete content list. Keep an eye on the Digiverse map after the March 31 patch drops because new rifts tend to open up more than the initial announcement suggests.
