The Foundation update for Arc Raiders dropped a quest that flips the usual survival logic on its head. Instead of staying quiet and avoiding the ARC, Clamoring for Attention asks players to deliberately make as much noise as possible across the Blue Gate map, drawing enemies straight to them.
What the quest actually is
Clamoring for Attention is a new Blue Gate quest introduced in the Foundation update for Arc Raiders, the extraction shooter from Embark Studios. The premise is straightforward but a little chaotic: find three noise-making objects scattered across the map, interact with each one, and survive the ARC enemies that come to investigate.
The key here is that you do not need to complete all three steps in a single raid. Progress carries over between runs, which makes the quest far less punishing than it might first appear.
Three locations, three noise sources
The first step sends players to Checkpoint, the area near the gate itself. Two buses sit among the ruined cars on the east and west sides of the road. Climb into the driver's seat of either one, look for the quest marker on the horn, and interact with it. A pair of Comet ARC will spawn almost immediately, so be ready to move.
The second step is at Village, specifically the far eastern end. A boom box sits on a bench on a small concrete patio, but it will not work without a Battery. You can bring one in from your stash or loot one from elsewhere on Blue Gate before heading to the location. Once powered, the boom box draws a pair of Pops and a Fireball, which are considerably easier to deal with than the Comets at Checkpoint.
The third and most involved step takes players to the Warehouse Complex, northeast of Checkpoint. The area regularly spawns Bombardiers and Rocketeers, so expect company before you even reach the objective. Head to the roof of the northeasternmost section of the Complex and find the yellow-lit klaxon siren. Repairing it requires 3 Wires, which need to be sourced beforehand. Interestingly, activating the klaxon does not appear to spawn any ARC, making it the least dangerous step despite being the most resource-intensive.
Why this quest stands out in the Foundation update
Most quests in Arc Raiders reward cautious play, looting efficiently while staying off the ARC's radar. Clamoring for Attention inverts that entirely, turning noise into the objective rather than the mistake. It is a small but telling design choice from Embark Studios, adding variety to a quest pool that can otherwise feel repetitive across raids.
The multi-session structure also removes the pressure of pulling off all three steps in one run, which would be a tall order given the enemy waves each step triggers. Players who prep a Battery and 3 Wires before dropping in will have a much smoother time than those going in empty-handed.
