Season 2 Week 7 challenges just dropped in Black Ops 7 and Warzone, and this week's reward is worth paying attention to.
Complete six challenges across any mode and you'll unlock the MXR-17 ANVL Conversion, a conversion kit that pushes the MXR-17 AR into a different tier entirely. It cranks the fire rate up dramatically, expands magazine capacity to 120 rounds, and boosts bullet velocity. The trade-offs are real though: hipfire spread increases, damage and range take a hit, and reload speed slows down. It's a high-ceiling, high-commitment attachment built for sustained suppression.
What's on the Table This Week
Challenges span all four modes: Multiplayer, Zombies, Co-Op & Endgame, and Warzone. You only need six total to claim the reward, which means you can mix and match freely across modes. That flexibility is the key here. If you're grinding Zombies anyway, knocking out a couple of those tasks while working toward the conversion is a natural fit. Here's the full breakdown by mode:
Multiplayer
The marksman rifle grind is the heaviest lift here. The Swordfish A1 or M8A1 with AutoStrike-X Conversion are the go-to choices for stacking eliminations quickly. For Objective Score, Hardpoint and Domination are the fastest routes, especially with UAVs and Squad Link active.
Zombies
The Bloodbath Medal challenge here actually doubles as a preview of the ANVL Conversion's playstyle. Pack-a-punch the MXR-17, load up a high-capacity magazine, and funnel large hordes into tight corridors. The LMG challenge works similarly. A Stock Option GobbleGum makes the no-reload condition much easier to hit consistently.

The T.E.D.D. Tasks challenge on Ashes of the Damned can be stacked across rounds, so Cursed mode runs do double duty for both the Task and Special Round challenges simultaneously.
Co-Op & Endgame
The D.A.W.G Escort is one of the more involved tasks this week. Locate the robot dog icon on your tac-map, hack it, then protect it through three stop-and-defend sequences. It's not complicated, but it requires focus. For the Amalgam, white containers during "eliminate special zombie" missions are where it spawns. High-damage launchers like the ARROW 109 make short work of it.
Warzone
The grapple kill challenge is the trickiest Warzone task this week. You'll want a fast-TTK SMG or AR already upgraded before you commit to a grapple chase. The Death Machine, Hand Cannon, and War Machine are the killstreaks to prioritize for the Black Ops Royale killstreak challenge.

The Bigger Season 2 Picture
Week 7 challenges fit into the broader Season 2 weekly reward structure. Earn any five weekly rewards across the season and you unlock the Sword of Swords animated camo. Collect all eight and the Canine Havoc camo is yours. Both are universal, meaning they apply across weapon categories.
Challenges refresh every Thursday at 11am CT / 9am PT / 12pm ET / 5pm GMT, but they don't expire at the end of the week. Anything left unfinished stays available until Season 2 ends, which means you can catch up on older weeks while chipping away at the current batch.
Week 6's reward was the Lockshot, a low-cost pistol scorestreak that auto-locks onto multiple enemies and eliminates all marked targets in a single trigger pull. It's still earnable if you haven't finished those challenges.
