The Lost Outpost Event went live in Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 and Warzone on April 7, 2026, kicking off a two-week grind for free cosmetics and the brand-new Strider 300 sniper rifle. Players have until April 23 to collect everything.
How the Beacon system works
This is a collection-based event built around Beacons, glowing green pickups that drop from enemy eliminations across BO7 Multiplayer, Zombies, Endgame, and Warzone. Opening loot caches in Warzone and finishing Ranked Play matches also contribute to your count.
Once you have enough Beacons, you exchange them for Care Packages through the in-game event page. These come in three tiers: 5 Beacons, 10 Beacons, and 20 Beacons. The catch is that each Care Package dishes out a random reward from its tier's pool, so you are not guaranteed a specific item from any single opening.
After clearing all 20 Care Packages, which requires a total of 245 Beacons, you unlock the mastery reward automatically.

The Casual playlist includes bots, making eliminations far more consistent, and players report earning around 50 Beacons in a single solid session. Maps like Rebirth Island and Haven's Hollow in Resurgence are particularly dense with loot caches and Legendary boxes, giving you extra Beacon opportunities beyond just kills.
