Black Ops 7 Season 2 Reloaded brings ...

Activision has officially detailed Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 and Warzone Season 2 Reloaded, confirming a March 11 launch date packed with new multiplayer maps, weapons, a fresh Zombies experience, and the highly anticipated Black Ops Royale mode.

Season 2 Reloaded Launch Times

The midseason update goes live on March 11 at 9 AM PT / 12 PM ET / 5 PM BST across all platforms. There is one notable exception: Warzone's new Black Ops Royale mode launches separately on March 12 at 9 PM PT (March 13 at 12 AM ET).

What's Coming in the Update

New Weapons and Events

Two seasonal events headline the content drop. The Counter Skies event rewards players with cosmetics tied to Black Ops Royale, and it includes both free and paid passes. Free rewards from this event include the Swordfish A1 marksman rifle and the Backlash Launcher attachment for the Echo 12 shotgun.

The Altitude Tactics event appears to be entirely free and delivers the Voyak KT-3 assault rifle alongside additional cosmetics. Zombies players also get a dedicated leaderboard event for the new Paradox Junction map, with GobbleGums, weapon camos, and more on the line.

Five New Multiplayer Maps

Season 2 Reloaded adds five maps to Black Ops 7's multiplayer pool:

  • Torque - A brand-new small map for 6v6 and 2v2, inspired by the Battle of Los Angeles campaign mission from Black Ops 2
  • Cliff Town - A reimagined version of the Yemen map from Black Ops 2, built for standard 6v6 play
  • Mission: Peak - A large-scale map for the 20v20 Skirmish mode, set around a medieval fortress
  • Firing Range - Returns from Black Ops 1
  • Grind - Returns from Black Ops 2

New Modes and Scorestreak

A new mode called Gauntlet pits two teams of six against each other through randomized game modes that rotate every two minutes. The first team to hit the score limit wins. The fan-favorite Infected party mode also makes its return.

The new Lockshot scorestreak arrives in both multiplayer and Zombies. It functions as a smart pistol, letting players mark multiple targets simultaneously before eliminating them in sequence.

Paradox Junction: The New Zombies Map

Paradox Junction is a standard round-based Zombies map where the crew is caught in a time loop, shifting between past and future (post-nuclear) versions of Nuketown. The map includes a main story quest, Cursed mode, and new Pack-a-Punch camos.

The map's special enemy type, Rad-Hounds, explode on contact and deal radioactive damage, drawing comparisons to Plague Hounds from Black Ops Cold War. Notably, Paradox Junction also resolves a long-standing mystery by addressing a missing character from a previous Zombies storyline, connecting Modern Warfare 3 Zombies to the ongoing Black Ops narrative.

The Blundergat Wonder Weapon returns here, originally featured in Mob of the Dead from Black Ops 2. This four-barrel shotgun can be upgraded into a more powerful variant by completing hidden quest steps.

Endgame and Warzone Updates

The Black Ops 7 campaign Endgame mode receives Glitches, which are repeatable off-map boss fights for up to four players. Surviving six waves and defeating the Glitch boss rewards players with new Nightmare skills. An Exotic Fabricator also arrives, letting players upgrade any loadout or field acquisition weapon to Exotic rarity.

In Warzone, the new Black Ops Royale mode drops players onto Avalon with 100 players in four-player squads. The mode strips out custom loadouts, the Gulag, cash, and Buy Stations in favor of scavenged Black Ops 7 weapons that can be upgraded with attachment kits. Standard Warzone maps including Verdansk, Haven's Hollow, and Rebirth Island remain available. Haven's Hollow is also getting Extreme Resurgence, a 100-player Quads mode with nearly double the usual player count.

Warzone Perk Overhaul

What This Means for Players

Season 2 Reloaded is one of the more content-dense midseason updates Call of Duty has delivered in recent memory. The key here is the dual launch structure: most content arrives March 11, but Black Ops Royale drops a day later, giving players time to settle into the new maps and modes before the flagship battle royale experience goes live. You'll want to mark both dates on your calendar.
