Pokemon Champions landed on Nintendo Switch with a surprisingly generous haul of launch freebies, and a few of them have expiration dates close enough to matter right now.
Here's the lowdown on every free gift currently available, because missing the Warm-Up Challenge window would sting.
The competition reward you need to claim before April 12
The most time-sensitive item on the list is Gardevoir. Pokemon Champions' first online competition, the Warm-Up Challenge, runs until April 12, and the bar to earn this reward is low by any competitive standard. Play at least 3 full matches with at least one win or one loss recorded, and you're done. No ranking required, no specific win rate needed.
After the final standings are posted, Gardevoir lands in your in-game mailbox alongside 100 Quick Coupons, which cut down the wait time for recruiting new Pokemon from the ranch. If you've downloaded the game and haven't touched the online mode yet, this is the one to prioritize.
Two early-access Pokemon with a longer runway
The other Mystery Gifts are less urgent but still worth grabbing. Dragonite is available to anyone who downloads and plays Pokemon Champions before August 31, 2026. It shows up automatically in your mailbox along with another 100 Quick Coupons. No code needed.
Machamp requires a bit more effort. Head into the Mystery Gift menu and enter the code CHAMP10N (that's a zero, not the letter O) before August 31. The fighting-type powerhouse gets added to your roster once the code is redeemed.
Both Pokemon are solid additions for players still building out their competitive teams.

The Warm-Up Challenge ends April 12. You must complete at least 3 full matches with a recorded win or loss before then to qualify for the free Gardevoir reward.
Mega Stones tied to Pokemon Legends: Z-A transfers
The most involved freebies require saves from Pokemon Legends: Z-A. Players who transfer a Chesnaught, Delphox, Greninja, or Eternal Flower Floette originally caught in Pokemon Legends: Z-A over via Pokemon Home will receive each Pokemon's corresponding Mega Stone in Champions. The items appear in the in-game mailbox after the transfer is complete.
What makes this notable is that Mega Stones are described as among the rarest items in Lumiose City within the game. Getting them through a Home transfer sidesteps whatever in-game grind would otherwise be required.
Full gift list at a glance
The Mega Stone transfers have no announced expiration date based on current information, but the same cannot be said for the competition reward. Pro tip: log in today if you haven't already and queue up a few Warm-Up Challenge matches before the window closes.
