The Galaxies Spring Showcase 2026 is locked in for April 16, and it is shaping up to be one of the more stacked indie-and-beyond events of the year, with over 50 games and seven world premieres confirmed across a 60-minute broadcast.
Hosted once again by Jane Douglas, the event is a partnership between Galaxies and IGN, and it will stream simultaneously across a wide range of platforms on April 16 at 12pm PT / 3pm ET / 8pm GMT.
Where to catch the stream
The broadcast will be live on IGN.com, IGN's YouTube channel, Twitch, Facebook, X (formerly Twitter), and IGN's mobile apps. It will also run simultaneously on Eurogamer, VG247, and Rock Paper Shotgun, so there is no shortage of places to tune in.
The show runs approximately 60 minutes, which is tight for 50-plus games, but that is part of what makes these events work. Fast cuts, quick trailers, and a few extended looks at the bigger titles.
What is already confirmed for the show
Several games have been officially confirmed ahead of the broadcast. Bandai Namco will drop a new gameplay trailer for Sword Art Online JRPG Echoes of Aincrad. Focus Entertainment is bringing Yerba Buena, the final DLC for Atomic Heart. Fumi Games and PlaySide Studios will spotlight MOUSE: P.I. For Hire, and Supermassive Games will give a deep dive into its cinematic sci-fi horror adventure Directive 8020, which is set for release on May 12, 2026.
Team 17 is showing off its hardcore 50v50 FPS Hell Let Loose Vietnam and will reveal a release date for the tactical turn-based roguelite Wardrum. Shiro Games is bringing three titles, Spacecraft, Farever, and Frostrail, alongside an unannounced project from its Shiro Unlimited label.
The confirmed list keeps going. Expect updates on When Sirens Fall Silent, Hotel Architect, Task Time, Bus Bound, ReVamp, and Old School RuneScape, plus a new entry in a beloved RPG franchise from astragon Entertainment and PQube (the franchise itself has not been named yet, which is the kind of tease that will drive speculation until the show airs).
Galaxies Founder Chris Thomas described the event's goal as giving games "a moment in the spotlight, whether they were made by a AAA studio or a solo developer," with 50 titles ranging from passion projects to blockbuster reveals.
The world premieres and the wildcards
Seven world premieres are confirmed, with two already attributed to Alawar and Rebel Pixel. The remaining five are unannounced, which is where the real intrigue sits.
Beyond the premieres, the confirmed appearance list reads like a solid cross-section of the current gaming moment: Phasmophobia, 33 Immortals, Forever Skies, Witchspire, Scramble Knights Royale, Sovereign Tower, The Caribou Trail, and World of Tanks: HEAT are all confirmed. Studios including Jagex, Head Up Games, Business Goose, Zeitgeist Studio, Cavalier Game Studios, and Snowcastle Games round out a roster that leans heavily into the indie and mid-tier space.
The key here is that Galaxies has built its identity around exactly this kind of event: not a platform holder's showcase, not a publisher megablast, but a curated mix where a solo dev can share a slot with a major studio release. That format worked well at the Galaxies Showcase in October 2025, and this spring edition looks to be the biggest version yet.
The bigger picture for April
With April 16 now marked on the calendar, this is one of the first major gaming broadcast events of the spring season. For anyone tracking what is coming in the second half of 2026, a 60-minute show with 50-plus games and seven premieres is a useful signal of where mid-tier and indie development is headed right now.
