Expression Games has laid out exactly what's coming to Hell Let Loose: Vietnam for the rest of 2026, and the roadmap covers three substantial updates loaded with new maps, weapons, vehicles, and cosmetics.
The announcement came shortly after the game's launch, which itself followed a delay. Expression Games clearly wants the community to know the post-launch pipeline is real and moving fast.
What Update 1.5 brings first
The first stop on the roadmap is Update 1.5, which focuses on vehicles and firepower. Players will get a new helicopter model alongside two new weapons: the M14 and the SKS Chinese Type 56. Neither of these is a minor addition. The M14 in particular fits the Vietnam setting perfectly, and having the SKS variant in the mix gives both sides more authentic kit to work with.
No release date has been confirmed for 1.5 yet, but given the roadmap is already public, it's reasonable to expect it soon.

Update 2.0 opens up Khe Sanh
This is the one that's going to get the most attention. Update 2.0 adds the Khe Sanh map, one of the most recognizable and strategically significant locations from the Vietnam War. For a game built around historical authenticity and large-scale 50v50 combat, Khe Sanh is exactly the kind of map the community has been waiting for.
Three new weapons arrive alongside it:
- L1A1 (Rifle)
- L16A1 (Mortar)
- F1 (SMG)
Update 2.0 also introduces the first wave of Deluxe Edition cosmetics, specifically new uniforms for US and Allied Anzac forces as well as NVA Infantry variants. Players who picked up the Deluxe Edition will start seeing that investment pay off here.
Update 3.0 goes heavy with Rung Sat and APCs
Update 3.0 is the biggest of the three. A second new map, Rung Sat, joins the rotation alongside a significant vehicle addition: APCs for both US and NVA factions. Armored personnel carriers change how squads move and hold ground, so this one will shift the meta noticeably.
The weapon list for 3.0 is the longest of any update:
- M14 Scoped (a scoped variant of the Update 1.5 rifle)
- Mat-49 (SMG)
- Stoner 63 (AR)
- SVD Dragunov (Sniper Rifle)
The Dragunov alone is going to change how long-range engagements play out. A second round of Deluxe Edition uniforms also arrives here, covering Green Berets and Navy SEALs on the US side along with NVA variants.
Battalions and vehicle skins round out the year
Beyond the three numbered updates, Battalions v1.0 is coming as a standalone feature. Expression Games hasn't detailed exactly how Battalions will work, but the name strongly implies some form of organized unit or clan system, which would be a meaningful addition for a game that lives and dies on squad coordination.
Vehicle skins are also confirmed, giving players cosmetic options beyond just uniforms. Ongoing optimization, bug fixes, and quality-of-life improvements will run throughout all updates as a constant thread.
Here's the full roadmap at a glance:
For players getting into the game now, it's worth sorting out the basics before the updates start rolling in. The Hell Let Loose: Vietnam guides cover everything from audio settings to performance optimization, so you're not going in blind when Khe Sanh drops.
