Gaming accessory maker HORI has been quietly building one of the more interesting Nintendo Switch 2 accessory lineups, and its latest drop might be the most personality-packed one yet. The company just announced two Ditto-themed accessories for the Switch 2, and they are exactly what they sound like: carrying gear shaped like, and covered in, everyone's favorite purple blob.
The announcement landed alongside a pre-order listing on HORI's official online store and Amazon Japan, putting both products up for grabs right now.

What Ditto actually transforms into this time
The first product is the Ditto Transformable Plush Carrying Case, priced at approximately $38 USD. Crafted from soft plush material, the case is shaped like a round, squishy Ditto from the outside, which is the kind of product decision that either wins you over immediately or leaves you completely cold. There is no middle ground with this one.
Practically speaking, it fits the Switch 2 console, an AC adapter, an HDMI cable, and up to 6 game cartridges. A shoulder strap is included, so you can carry Ditto hands-free. The whole thing leans hard into the idea that you are literally transporting Ditto, not just a bag with Ditto printed on it.
The second product is the Ditto Full Storage Tote Bag, also priced at approximately $38 USD. This one is built for players who travel with their full setup. It fits the Switch 2 console, the Dock, Joy-Con 2 grips, an AC adapter, an HDMI cable, and additional peripherals. Three internal dividers keep everything organized, and a detachable handle adds some flexibility for how you carry it.
Both products share the same price point and the same design philosophy: Ditto's shape and coloring run from the outer shell through to the interior details and even the straps.
Why Ditto keeps winning the Pokemon merchandise game
Ditto has become one of the most consistently merchandised Pokemon outside the main Pikachu-and-Eevee tier, and it is not hard to see why. The character's defining trait, transforming into anything, translates naturally into product design. A Ditto-shaped object is always technically "Ditto transforming into that object," which gives designers a built-in narrative hook.
For fans of Pokémon FireRed and LeafGreen, Ditto has been a fixture since the earliest mainline games, where its Transform move made it a competitive curiosity and a breeding utility all in one. That dual identity, cute on the surface, surprisingly useful underneath, maps perfectly onto what HORI built here.
Here's the thing: HORI is not the only brand leaning into Pokemon accessories right now. Japanese lifestyle brand BRUNO recently launched an Eevee Family kitchenware line featuring themed hot plates, blenders, and insulated mugs. The broader Pokemon licensing push across hardware accessories and home goods has been running at full speed heading into the second half of 2026.
The Switch 2 accessory market is getting interesting
Nintendo's hardware launches have always generated a wave of third-party accessories, but the Switch 2 cycle feels particularly active on the lifestyle and character-driven side. HORI sits in an interesting position here: the company makes serious, functional gear (its arcade sticks and licensed controllers have a real following), but it is clearly willing to go full plush-blob when the Pokemon license is on the table.
For players who want to dig deeper into the Pokemon side of things, the Pokémon FireRed and LeafGreen guides collection covers everything from version-exclusive Pokemon to competitive natures, which is worth bookmarking if the Ditto nostalgia hits hard enough to send you back to the GBA era.
Pre-orders for both HORI Ditto accessories are live now. Shipping details and a confirmed global release have not been announced, but given HORI's track record of bringing Pokemon accessories to international markets, a wider rollout seems likely.
