If your JRPG backlog isn't already threatening to swallow you whole, spring sales across PlayStation, Nintendo eShop, and Steam are about to make things significantly worse. Kotaku has compiled a list of 17 JRPGs currently discounted across those platforms, with several heavy hitters sitting at 50 to 60 percent off.
The discounts worth stopping for
The standout deals lean heavily on Square Enix's catalog, which makes sense given how much of the JRPG space the publisher occupies. Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is down to $30 (40 percent off), Final Fantasy XVI hits $25 (50 percent off), and NieR:Automata The End of YoRHa Edition drops to $16 at 60 percent off. That last one is a steal by any measure.
Persona 3 Reload also lands at $24 with a 60 percent discount, putting one of the best remakes in recent memory into impulse-buy territory. Dragon Quest XI sits at $20 (50 percent off), and Star Ocean The Second Story R comes in at $25 for the same discount.
Here's the full list with current prices:
Newer releases, smaller cuts
The three most recent titles on the list , Final Fantasy Tactics: The Ivalice Chronicles, Digimon Story Time Stranger, and Octopath Traveler 0 , are only 25 to 30 percent off, which is expected given how recently they launched. That said, 30 percent off a game that came out weeks ago is still a reasonable entry point if any of them were already on your radar.
Dungeon Encounters at $9 (70 percent off) is technically the deepest cut on the list, though that one's more of a niche pick for players who want stripped-back dungeon crawling with minimal story.
info
Several of these titles also have PC versions on Steam during the Spring Sale, and some are listed even cheaper there than on PlayStation or Nintendo eShop. Worth checking both before you buy.
Physical copies and Switch 2 options
Not every deal is digital. The boxed version of Final Fantasy Tactics: The Ivalice Chronicles is available for $25 on PS5 through Woot, which actually undercuts the digital price by $10. The Switch physical edition of Pokémon Legends: Z-A is sitting at $45 through the same retailer.

FF Tactics physical deal
Switch 2 owners also have a notable option: Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade is already down to $30 just one month after its Switch 2 launch, though that's a game key card rather than a traditional cartridge.
For turn-based RPG fans specifically, the Steam Spring Sale deal breakdown from Turn Based Lovers covers additional PC-side discounts worth checking alongside this list, including some indie titles that don't appear on the console storefronts.
The PlayStation and Nintendo eShop sales are live now. If any of these have been sitting in your wishlist, this is the window to act on them before prices reset. Make sure to check out more:
