Ergonomic Advantages for Long-Term Use
The trackball approach of the Logitech Ergo M575S targets strain reduction in the forearm and wrist. The company's testing shows the mouse can cut forearm muscle strain by up to 25% compared to conventional flat mice, making it better suited for extended sessions. By anchoring your hand in place and relying on thumb motion, the M575S works well in cramped desk setups or environments packed with keyboards, monitors, and other gear.
The trackball itself pops out for cleaning, which matters after months of use. Its mechanism delivers consistent cursor control across different surfaces, adapting to spaces where a standard mouse might falter.
Customization and Connectivity Features
The M575S features three programmable buttons configurable via the Logi Options+ app. You can set up Smart Actions and tweak cursor speed to match your workflow. Connectivity offers both Bluetooth and the bundled Logi Bolt USB receiver. A single AA battery powers the mouse (included in the box) and delivers up to 18 months of use. Quiet clicks minimize noise during work or gaming.
Compact Design Suited for Small Workspaces
Beyond ergonomics, the Logitech Ergo M575S fits tight desk real estate. Its compact build and wireless operation make it practical for users who need precision without dragging hardware around. At $40, it's a reasonable entry point for trackball ergonomics without a steep upfront cost.
