Wizards of the Coast and Sony Interactive Entertainment are partnering on a new crossover that brings some of PlayStation's most recognized franchises to Magic: The Gathering. Launching October 27, 2025, the Secret Lair x PlayStation Superdrop will deliver seven separate drops inspired by series such as The Last of Us, God of War, Horizon Forbidden West, Uncharted, and Ghost of Tsushima. Each set includes new cards that feature characters, settings, and items from these games, adapted with artwork and mechanics designed for Magic: The Gathering.
The collaboration gives PlayStation fans new ways to engage with familiar characters and stories beyond the console. Wizards of the Coast worked directly with studios including Naughty Dog, Santa Monica Studio, Guerrilla, and Sucker Punch Productions to make sure each set remains faithful to the source material.

The crossover brings several legendary characters as playable cards. Joel and Ellie appear in The Last of Us Part I drop, each with mechanics that reward players for pairing them together as survivors. The second Last of Us set features Ellie and Abby, with abilities built around themes of vengeance and sacrifice. Nathan Drake leads the Uncharted drop, with gameplay mechanics centered on exploration and discovery.
For God of War, two separate drops spotlight Kratos. One focuses on his early years as a Greek warrior consumed by rage, while the other shows him in the Norse era alongside his son Atreus. Aloy from Horizon Forbidden West appears as a warrior connected to artifacts and machines, mirroring her role as a seeker of Old World technology. Finally, Ghost of Tsushima introduces Jin Sakai with abilities that balance samurai honor and stealth combat as the Ghost.

Developers share their perspective
Studio leaders expressed excitement about seeing their work adapted into the trading card format. Naughty Dog's Neil Druckmann noted that many of the studio's staff are longtime Magic fans, which made the collaboration feel organic.
Santa Monica Studio's Cory Barlog explained that Kratos's transformation across different eras is captured in the card designs. Guerrilla's Ilya Golitsyn emphasized that Aloy's card mechanics match Horizon's focus on artifacts and technology, while Sucker Punch Productions' Jason Connell highlighted the importance of representing Jin Sakai's dual identity.
