"The Odyssey 3D is designed for gamers who want to experience their hobby in a way that feels like they're completely embedded in the action," said Kevin Lee, Executive Vice President of the Visual Display Business at Samsung Electronics. “Through partnerships with leading gaming studios, we are committed to creating an ecosystem of top-tier titles, making great games extraordinary.”

Samsung Electronics America announced a significant expansion of its glasses-free 3D gaming ecosystem at the GDC Festival of Gaming 2026 in San Francisco. The company confirmed that its Samsung Odyssey 3D gaming library, which currently supports over 60 titles, is on track to exceed 120 titles by the end of this year. Two high-profile additions headline the announcement: Hell is Us from Rogue Factor and Cronos: The New Dawn from Bloober Team.

Hell is Us, the critically acclaimed action-adventure horror title, joins the Odyssey 3D ecosystem in March as part of the first wave of newly added 3D-enabled games for this year. Cronos: The New Dawn, a survival horror game that has received generally positive reviews from critics, is scheduled to arrive on the platform before the end of 2026. Both titles will be accessible through the Samsung Odyssey 3D Hub, the company's dedicated 3D content platform.

What the Odyssey 3D Actually Delivers

Here's the thing: glasses-free 3D has historically come with painful trade-offs, either demanding special eyewear or sacrificing display performance. Samsung's approach on the 27-inch Odyssey 3D (G90XF model) sidesteps those limitations using Eye Tracking and View Mapping technology that adjusts 3D depth in real time based on viewer position.

The monitor pairs that technology with a 165Hz refresh rate and 1ms GtG response time, meaning the 3D effect holds up even during fast camera movement, gunfights, and high-speed traversal. A 32-inch Odyssey 3D model is also confirmed for launch before the end of the year.

The full Odyssey lineup on display at GDC 2026 includes:

  • 27-inch Odyssey 3D (G90XF): Glasses-free 3D with Eye Tracking, 4K, 165Hz
  • 32-inch Odyssey OLED G8 (G80SH): 4K QD-OLED at 240Hz with Samsung OLED Safeguard+
  • 32-inch Odyssey G8 (G80HS): Industry's first 6K gaming monitor, native 165Hz with Dual Mode up to 330Hz in 3K
  • 27-inch Odyssey G6 (G60H): World's first 1,040Hz gaming monitor with Dual Mode

HDR10+ GAMING Partnerships Expand Too

Beyond glasses-free 3D, Samsung also announced new HDR10+ GAMING collaborations. The company is working with CD PROJEKT RED to integrate HDR10+ GAMING into Cyberpunk 2077, which automatically analyzes individual scenes and frames to optimize HDR output.

Additionally, Pearl Abyss confirmed that HDR10+ GAMING will be featured in the upcoming open-world action-adventure title Crimson Desert, set to launch in March. Samsung has included HDR10+ GAMING in Odyssey monitors and TVs with refresh rates above 120Hz since 2022.

The Bigger Picture for Immersive Gaming

The key here is that Samsung is building a content ecosystem around its display hardware, not just selling monitors in isolation. The Odyssey 3D Hub already supports titles like The First Berserker: Khazan, Stellar Blade, Lies of P: Overture, and MONGIL: STAR DIVE. Doubling that library to 120 titles by year's end signals a serious push to make glasses-free 3D a mainstream option rather than a novelty.

For players attending GDC 2026, Samsung is hosting hands-on demo sessions where journalists and industry professionals can play Hell is Us in 3D ahead of the general public.
