FlexStrike Wireless Fight Stick ...

Sony announced three new gaming accessories back in 2025, then went quiet. For months, the FlexStrike Wireless Fight Stick and the 27-inch Gaming Monitor with DualSense Charging Hook sat in a holding pattern with no firm launch window. That wait is over. Sony has locked in August release dates for both products, with pre-orders kicking off as early as June 5.

Sony's first fight stick is timed for the FGC calendar

The FlexStrike Wireless Fight Stick launches on August 6, 2026, priced at $199.99. Pre-orders open on June 12. This is Sony's first dedicated fighting game peripheral, supporting both PlayStation 5 and PC, and the timing is deliberate: the August 6 date lines up directly with the release of MARVEL Tōkon: Fighting Souls, giving the FGC a native Sony option right at launch.

Here's the thing about fight sticks: the barrier has always been lugging them around. Sony is addressing that head-on. The FlexStrike ships with a sling carry case and a built-in rechargeable battery, specifically designed for tournaments, meetups, and sessions at a friend's place. Sony's own framing is that it should be "easy to bring your fight stick to a tournament" without any extra setup friction.

At $199.99, it sits in a competitive price range for wireless arcade sticks. Whether it earns its place among the established options the FGC already relies on will come down to build quality and latency, two things that only hands-on time will confirm. Check out game reviews once the hardware starts landing with players.

A desktop monitor built for players leaving the living room

The 27-inch Gaming Monitor with DualSense Charging Hook follows on August 27, 2026, priced at $349.99. Pre-orders for this one start June 5, making it the first of the two to open for reservations. Availability is currently limited to the US and Japan.

The specs are solid for the price point. The panel runs at 2560 x 1440 resolution with HDR and VRR support, and the refresh rate tops out at 240 Hz on PC. PlayStation 5 and PS5 Pro owners are capped at 120 Hz, which is worth knowing before you commit.

Sony's rationale for building this product is straightforward: more players are gaming outside the living room, on desks and in personal setups rather than in front of a TV. The DualSense Charging Hook is the detail that makes this feel purpose-built rather than a generic monitor with a PlayStation logo slapped on it.

The third accessory is still waiting in the wings

The Pulse Elevate Wireless Speakers were part of the same 2025 announcement but did not receive a release date alongside the other two products. Sony confirmed they are still coming in 2026, designed to pair with the gaming monitor and support both PC and PlayStation. The dual-speaker setup includes built-in rechargeable batteries and a microphone, positioning it as a potential headset alternative for desktop setups.

No pricing or specific launch window has been shared for the Pulse Elevate yet.

What the August window means for the FGC and desktop players

Two August launches in the same month is a meaningful cluster. The FlexStrike arriving on the same day as MARVEL Tōkon: Fighting Souls is not a coincidence, and it signals that Sony is treating the FGC as a real audience worth building hardware for rather than an afterthought.

For players building out a desktop PlayStation setup, the monitor pre-order opening on June 5 means decisions need to happen soon. The $349.99 price for a 1440p 240 Hz display with integrated DualSense charging is competitive, though the 120 Hz ceiling on PS5 hardware is a real consideration for console-first players.

Pro tip: if you are planning to use this monitor primarily with a PS5, the 240 Hz ceiling only applies to PC. Factor that into whether the full asking price makes sense for your setup.
