The Final Trailer Arrives
The trailer premiered during a Nintendo Direct presentation, where Illumination chief Chris Meledandri revealed two significant voice cast additions. Issa Rae will voice Honey Queen, and Donald Glover has been tapped to play Yoshi, marking one of three major newcomers confirmed for the film.
Meledandri hinted at additional reveals waiting in the finished movie, calling them surprises both "big" and "small."

Three major characters have been officially locked in for The Super Mario Galaxy Movie:

These additions expand the roster well beyond the original The Super Mario Bros. Movie. The production team from the first film remains mostly unchanged. Aaron Horvath and Michael Jelenic are back in the director's chairs, with Matthew Fogel returning as screenwriter. Composer Brian Tyler is also reprising his role, maintaining sonic continuity with the predecessor.
