Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 players chasing weapon camos in Warzone just got a refreshed set of challenges to work through, and Season 2 brings a notable new wrinkle: the Ranked Series event, which hands out exclusive animated camos to top performers before the season closes out.
What Changed in Season 2
The standard Warzone camo grind carries over from previous seasons, but Season 2 introduces the Ranked Series as a dedicated end-of-season event tied directly to cosmetic rewards. Once your Skill Rating is locked in at the end of regular Ranked Play, you're automatically slotted into a competitive ladder with 50 players of the same rank tier. The Top 250 players are pooled into their own separate ladder.
The camos earned through Ranked Series are unique to the mode and stack on top of whatever you've already unlocked through standard Ranked Play. That's worth knowing if you've been grinding camos the traditional way since launch.
The Ranked Series Camo Rewards Breakdown
Performance in the Ranked Series ladder determines which cosmetics you walk away with. Here's exactly what's on the table for Warzone players in Season 2:
Every participant, regardless of ladder placement, can also earn a Ranked Series vinyl and a Ranked Series weapon charm through the Challenge Track.
The animated camo for Top 5 finishers is the headline reward here. It's the kind of flex that most players won't have, which makes it worth the grind if you're already deep into Ranked Play.

Ranked Series camos are separate from standard Ranked Play camo rewards. Finishing in the top tiers of the ladder earns you both, so your existing progress isn't replaced.
How the Warzone Ladder Scoring Works
Unlike the straightforward win/loss format in BO6 Multiplayer's Ranked Series, Warzone uses a scoring system built around both survival and eliminations. It mirrors the structure used in World Series of Warzone (WSOW) events.
Here's how Ladder Points are calculated per match:
- Eliminations: +1 point each
- Deaths: -2 points each
- 1st place finish: +10 points
- 2nd-3rd place: +7 points
- 4th-6th place: +5 points
- 7th-9th place: +3 points
- 10th-12th place: +1 point
- 13th-15th place: 0 points
Disconnecting carries escalating penalties, starting at -3 points for a first offense and reaching -15 points by the fourth. Staying in matches matters as much as playing them well.
The key here is that deaths hurt more than kills help on a per-action basis. A reckless aggressive approach will bleed ladder points fast. Positioning and smart engagements carry more weight than raw frag counts.

Season 2 Event Dates
For players still tracking the timeline: Skill Ratings were locked on March 25 at 11pm CT, freezing final ranks for the season. The Ranked Series event runs from March 26 through March 31, after which Ranked Play goes offline in both Black Ops 6 and Warzone until Season 3 launches.
That's a tight six-day window to climb your ladder and secure those camos. If you're sitting in a qualifying rank and haven't started yet, the clock is running.Make sure to check out more:
