All New Weapons in Palworld 1.0 and How to Get Them - Palworld Zone

Palworld 1.0 raises the player level cap from 65 to 80 and packs the Technology board with new blueprints, including 13 brand-new weapons spread across early, mid, and late game tiers. Some of these weapons slot in at lower levels, making them genuinely useful from the start of a fresh save. Others sit at the high end and demand late-game materials like Paloxite Ingot and Ancient Civilization Core before you can even think about crafting them. This guide covers every new weapon, what it costs to build, and what to expect from each tier.

What new weapons were added in Palworld 1.0?

Palworld 1.0 adds 13 new weapons to the Technology board, ranging from a basic Primitive Sword that new players can craft early on, all the way to the Beam Launcher, which sits at the top of the tech tree and requires 10 AI Core and 10 Ancient Civilization Core to build. The spread is deliberate: Pocketpair clearly wanted to give fresh-save players more options in the early game while still rewarding high-level veterans with powerful endgame tools.

The full list breaks down into three rough tiers based on the materials required. Early-game weapons use basic resources like Wooden Board, Stone, and Ingot. Mid-game weapons shift to Refined Ingot, Paldium Fragment, and High Quality Cloth. Late-game weapons demand Soralite Ingot, Carbon Fiber, Bio Battery, Thermal Core, and the rarest materials in the game.

Here's the complete breakdown of every new weapon blueprint, with exact material costs pulled from the 1.0 Technology board.

warning
The Beam Launcher and Plasma Rifle require Ancient Civilization Core in large quantities. These are rare drops, so stock up before committing to a craft.

Which weapons are worth prioritizing?

Early game: melee first, then ranged

The Primitive Sword is the most accessible new melee weapon in the game, costing just 2 Wooden Board, 15 Stone, and 15 Ingot. That's a negligible cost for a new melee option that didn't exist before 1.0. The Metal Bat steps up the investment to 30 Hardwood and 20 Refined Ingot, which is still very reachable in the early-to-mid game.

The Enhanced Lily's Spear sits in an interesting spot. At 20 Paldium Fragment, 30 Soralite Ingot, 20 High Quality Cloth, and 20 High Quality Wooden Board, it bridges the gap between mid and late game for players who prefer melee combat.

Mid-to-late game: the firearms tier

The Combat SMG and Prototype Shotgun are the first firearms in this new batch that start demanding serious resources. The SMG costs 50 Soralite Ingot, 30 Carbon Fiber, 20 Cryogenic Coolant, and 4 AI Core. The Shotgun pushes that further with 5 Thermal Core added to the bill.

The Heavy Assault Rifle is the heaviest investment in the mid-tier firearm range at 100 Soralite Ingot, 50 Carbon Fiber, 30 Bio Battery, and 5 AI Core. That material cost reflects what you're getting: this is a serious damage option before you reach the Paloxite-tier weapons.

Endgame: Paloxite weapons

The top four weapons, Beam Scatter, Drone Launcher, Plasma Rifle, and Beam Launcher, all require Paloxite Ingot as their primary material. This is a 1.0-tier resource, so you won't be crafting these until you're deep into the new content. The Drone Launcher also requires World Tree Holy Water, which ties it directly to the new World Tree zone added in this update.

tip
The Mechanical Bow is a late-game option that stands out for requiring 200 Paldium Fragment. That's a massive amount of a common material, but it may be more accessible than farming Ancient Civilization Core if you have a stockpile.

How to unlock new weapon blueprints

All new weapons are unlocked through the Technology board, the same system used for every other blueprint in the game. With the level cap now at 80 (up from 65), the new weapons are distributed across the expanded range of Technology Points. Lower-tier weapons like the Primitive Sword and Metal Bat unlock early, while the Beam Launcher and Plasma Rifle sit near the top end of the new cap.

Spend your Technology Points on weapons that match your current resource availability. Unlocking the Beam Launcher blueprint at level 78 doesn't help much if you're still farming Soralite Ingot.

What else is new in Palworld 1.0?

Weapons are only one piece of what 1.0 adds. The update brings 73 new Pals to catch and breed, plus a set of new non-weapon blueprints on the Technology board. If you want the full picture of every new creature, the complete list of all new Pals in Palworld 1.0 covers every addition including new variants of existing Pals.

For players still deciding whether to jump in fresh or carry over a previous save, the new save vs. old save guide for Palworld 1.0 lays out exactly what you gain and risk with each choice. For everything else, the full Palworld strategy guide collection has you covered.
