PowerWash Simulator 2 just received its version 1.2 update from developer FuturLab, and it's a meatier patch than most players were expecting. The headline addition is a free new level, but the patch also clears up a long list of multiplayer bugs, fixes achievement tracking, and addresses several quality-of-life issues that had been frustrating players since launch. Here's everything you need to know.
What's new in the Miniature Village level?

Miniature Village in Nutsville
The biggest addition in version 1.2 is Miniature Village, the first entry in the Caldera Chronicles series. This is a free post-launch level set inside Three Rivers National Park, featuring a fully walkable miniaturized town called Nutsville. The level includes main streets, rivers, aqueducts, a castle, a train, and a generous number of garden gnomes scattered throughout.
Caldera Chronicles is FuturLab's plan for ongoing free content drops throughout the year. These sit alongside larger paid DLC packs, so players who don't want to spend extra still have something to look forward to on a regular basis. The first paid expansion, the Adventure Time Pack, adds five levels inspired by the animated series and is scheduled to arrive on April 9.
What bugs did update 1.2 fix?
The patch covers a wide range of fixes across achievements, gameplay systems, multiplayer, and platform-specific issues. The full 1.2 patch notes are available on FuturLab's official developer blog, but here's a breakdown of the most notable changes.
Achievement and job fixes
Several achievements had broken unlock conditions before this patch. The Purr Bonding achievement is now restricted to the Home Base as intended. Gnome placement in the Tea Time job has been corrected, and the Rise and Shine achievement received adjustments as well.
Beyond achievements, the Fun House job received two fixes: a broken hanging arrow and an invisible wall inside the Sound Hallway have both been removed. Cash earned during Career Story Mode jobs now tracks correctly, and a bug that caused navigation equipment to stick in your hands has been resolved. Ladder placement and the ability to recall dirty furniture in the Home Base are also fixed.
Gameplay and quality-of-life improvements
The Lock Mouse to Screen setting was broken before this patch and is now functional. Keybind issues that appeared when using a mouse have been addressed, and the crosshair no longer behaves incorrectly when switching between the soap nozzle and the base nozzle.
The shop and customisation windows were loading incorrectly for players running the game in certain languages. That's fixed. The Controller Disconnected pop-up was misfiring, end-game music was getting interrupted by controller reconnections, and the language setting pop-up had its own separate issue. All three are resolved in 1.2. FuturLab also made general frame rate improvements and UI adjustments across the board.
Multiplayer and split-screen fixes
Multiplayer received the most attention in this patch. The most significant fix addresses a bug where Freeplay vs. Multiplayer progress was saving to the wrong slot, which could corrupt your progression data. Soap recall now works correctly in multiplayer sessions, and navigation equipment plus furniture have been updated for proper usage, rotation, and placement.
Other multiplayer fixes include realigned Washer Beam VFX, consistent timelapse behavior between solo and multiplayer runs of the same level, and a notification that now correctly fires when a player leaves a session. General VFX and frame rate improvements also apply specifically to multiplayer.
Nintendo Switch 2 specific changes
Players on Nintendo Switch 2 get two targeted fixes. Autosaves now trigger more frequently, reducing the risk of losing progress during longer cleaning sessions. Performance issues in the Mount Rushless job have also been resolved.
