Antique Coins are among the most valuable collectibles you'll encounter inside the Rhodes Hill Chronic Care Center in Resident Evil Requiem. These small metal tokens carry serious weight: spend them correctly in the Parlor and you'll walk away with permanent upgrades that make Grace Ashcroft significantly tougher, better armed, and more capable of hauling the items she needs to survive. There are 19 coins scattered across the Care Center, and you only need 17 to claim every Parlor reward, so a couple of misses won't cost you everything.
You cannot return to the Care Center after completing the quartz puzzle and leaving with Emily. Make sure you've spent all your coins before that point, or you'll have to wait for New Game Plus.
What Are Antique Coins and Why Do They Matter?
The Antique Coins carry an in-game description that reads: "An old metal coin used for games. Can be exchanged for prizes in the parlor." That description undersells them considerably. These coins are your ticket to four upgrades that directly affect Grace's survivability: more inventory space, better gun handling, higher maximum health, and an expanded Blood Collector capacity.
Coins stack in a single inventory slot, so you won't lose precious item space carrying them around. That said, you do need at least one free slot available when picking them up, so keep that in mind as you explore.

How to Access the Parlor
The Parlor sits behind a locked door in the West Wing, marked by a unicorn emblem. To open it, head up to the 2F Chairman's Office and grab the Unicorn Trinket Box on the left as you enter. Examine it to reveal a hidden button on the back, which releases the Red Jewel inside. Take that jewel back down to the unicorn door on the first floor and slot it into the indentation to unlock the room.
Once you're inside, be cautious: opening the Parlor triggers the chef and several zombies to begin patrolling the surrounding area. Stock up on Hemolytic Injectors before you go in, and keep your movement quiet.
All 19 Antique Coin Locations
Central Hall (Ground Floor)
Coin #1 – Guard Office Check the computer desk right next to the item box in the Guard Office. It's one of the first coins you can grab and easy to miss if you rush through.
West Wing (Ground Floor)
Coin #2 – Northwest Corridor On the small table in the hallway between the Dining Room and the stairwell/freezer area, right at the bend in the corridor.
Coins #3 and #4 – Parlor Once you've unlocked the Parlor, one coin sits on the roulette table at the back of the room. A second coin is on the bar counter; you'll need to smash a small crate nearby to make it appear.
West Wing (Second Floor)
Coin #5 – Bar & Lounge (Piano) The coin rests on the edge of the grand piano keys. Picking it up causes the keys to sound, which can attract attention. Crouch immediately and move toward the nearest exit.
Coin #6 – Bar & Lounge (Singer Zombie) The banshee (Singer zombie) patrolling the Bar & Lounge drops this coin when defeated. She's a tough fight for Grace, so consider switching to Leon and landing a direct shotgun blast to her head. Leon can't pick the coin up himself, but it stays on her body, meaning Grace can retrieve it safely afterward.
Coins #7, #8, and #9 – Bar & Lounge Safe A locked safe behind the bar holds three coins. The combination is Left 10, Right 80, Left 30.

East Wing (Ground Floor)
Coin #10 – Waiting Room Table Just past the western entrance into the Waiting Room, there's a table with a single coin on it. Crouch to slip past the maid and frenzied patient if you'd rather not engage them.
Coins #11 and #12 – Waiting Room Open Safe Behind the admin desk in the Waiting Room, an already-pried-open safe holds two coins. No combination needed. Toss an empty bottle toward the western entrance to lure the zombies away, then circle around to the desk from the eastern entrance.
Coin #13 – East Wing Staircase Table At the bottom of the staircase leading from the Waiting Room toward the Conference Room, a coin sits on a small table.
Coin #14 – East Wing Staircase Vase Right next to coin #13, there's a decorative vase on the sideboard. Use a knife to break it and save your bullets; the coin is inside.
Coins #15, #16, and #17 – Examination Room Safe The safe on the shelves in the Examination Room requires the combination Right 30, Left 10, Right 50 to open. Three coins are your reward.
East Wing (Second Floor)
Coin #18 – Conference Room One coin sits on a table to the right as you enter the Conference Room. Straightforward grab if the room is clear.
Coin #19 – Conference Room Annex (Singer Zombie) A second banshee patrols the small annex attached to the Conference Room. Two regular zombies stand between you and her in the main room. Lure those two away first, then deal with her. Again, letting Leon handle the kill and Grace retrieve the coin is the cleanest approach.

Where to Spend Your Antique Coins: Parlor Upgrades
The prize cabinet sits to the left of the blackjack table in the Parlor. Interact with each lockbox, select your Antique Coins from the inventory screen, and use the arrow keys to input the required amount in one go.

What Does Each Upgrade Do?
Total cost for all upgrades: 17 Antique Coins.
Which Upgrade Should You Prioritize?
The Stabilizer and Steroids are permanent stat boosts, which makes them feel like the obvious first picks. But the smarter play is grabbing the Hip Pouch the moment you have 3 coins in hand.
Here's the reasoning: by the time most players reach the Parlor, their base inventory is already maxed out. Without those two extra slots, you're constantly forced to choose between dropping ammo, leaving behind green herbs, or making repeated trips back to the item box. That friction slows you down at exactly the moment the game is ramping up tension.
Once you have the Hip Pouch sorted, chase the Steroids and Stabilizer next since both are permanent. The Override Manual is the last priority given its higher coin cost and more situational benefit.

Grace inventory management
Use a knife to break any vases or small containers you spot while hunting coins. It conserves ammo and occasionally reveals coins or other useful items hiding inside.
Can You Miss Antique Coins Permanently?
Yes. Once you complete the quartz puzzle and leave the Care Center, the entire area becomes inaccessible for the rest of that playthrough. Any coins or Parlor upgrades you skipped are gone until New Game Plus. Given that you only need 17 of the 19 available coins, you have a small margin for error, but don't count on it to bail you out if you skip whole sections of the map.
