Resident Evil Requiem throws some of the nastiest creatures Capcom has ever designed straight at you, and surviving them requires more than just unloading bullets in their direction. Playing as both Leon Kennedy and FBI agent Grace Ashcroft, you'll face mutated abominations, relentless stalkers, and a final boss that channels pure Resident Evil nostalgia. This guide breaks down every major threat you'll encounter and exactly what you need to do to come out alive.

Special Infected: What You Need to Know First
Before you reach the big fights, Resident Evil Requiem populates its world with several dangerous enemy variants that can catch you off guard if you don't understand how they work.

Blister Head enemy variant
How Do Blister Heads Work?
Blister Heads are reanimated versions of zombies you've already killed. Any standard zombie you put down can come back as a faster, harder-hitting mutant version later in the campaign. Their movement becomes erratic and their melee swipes hit significantly harder than their original form.
The key to preventing this mutation is destroying the head or the full body before they get a chance to reanimate. You have three reliable ways to do this:
- Grace's Hemolytic Injector: Sneak up on a zombie, stagger them, or catch them prone to inject a compound that causes them to detonate from the inside.
- Leon's Hatchet: Stagger an enemy, follow up with a roundhouse kick to pin them against a surface, then lop off the head cleanly.
- High-caliber weapons: The Requiem and Sniper Rifle can remove a skull with a single well-placed headshot.
Singers, Chainsaw Charlies, and Lickers

Brace yourself, calm down, and lock in for RE Requiem
Singers periodically let out a disorienting screech that throws off Grace's aim. They're not dramatically different from standard infected, but they absorb more punishment before dropping.
Chainsaw Charlies are among the most dangerous standard enemies in the game. A single mistake near one can end Leon's run in particularly gruesome ways. A downed Chainsaw Charlie with a still-revving saw can push itself across the floor toward you, and an abandoned chainsaw left spinning on the ground will still deal damage if you step into it. Keep your distance and use the environment.
Lickers return from earlier games with their signature wall-crawling and tongue attacks intact. When one lunges at you, counter with a Knife or Hatchet. If it attempts a tongue lash, parrying with the Hatchet is the correct response and also completes an in-game challenge.
Boss Guide: Every Major Fight in Resident Evil Requiem
How to Beat The Girl

The Girl is a recurring threat across multiple locations, including the Care Center Nurse's Station, the Care Center Basement, and the Water Treatment Facility. She's not a traditional fight you can brute-force. Her skin is sensitive to light, so any well-lit room sends her retreating immediately. Your job is to run toward light sources the moment she appears.
The definitive encounter at the Water Treatment Facility is where you finally put her down for good:
- Restart all three power distribution units throughout the area.
- Use industrial work lights or the Requiem to stun her while she pursues you.
- Ride the elevator up and activate the work light at the top to freeze her movement.
- Open the shutter using the button prompt.
- You can shoot her or simply let the sequence play out. Either way, she dissolves.
How to Beat Chunk

Chunk (actually two mutated brothers) appears during both Grace's and Leon's sections in the Care Center. Don't underestimate his size as a limitation. He squeezes through narrow corridors and bulldozes infected out of his path without slowing down.
- As Grace: Lure Chunk toward a section he physically cannot pass through, such as the Level 2 corridor leading to the Isolation Ward. Once he's stuck, unload Requiem shots into his head. Killing him this way also completes the Grace and Goliath challenge and rewards a unique charm.
- As Leon: The second Chunk appears in the Attic. Use the ladders to stay mobile and interact with objects in the environment to block his path. Your newly acquired MSBG 500 Shotgun is ideal for this fight.
How to Beat the Blister Borne
Blister Bornes are hulking creatures Leon encounters in the Care Center Chapel and the East Raccoon City Sewage Facility. They charge directly at you and hit hard.
Your target is the tumors covering their body. Here's the critical detail: those same tumors emit toxins that instantly mutate nearby downed zombies into Blister Heads. Before you open fire on the tumors, pull the Blister Borne away from any bodies on the ground. Once it's isolated, focus your shots on the growths to bring it down.
tip
Clear out as many standard zombies in the area as possible before engaging a Blister Borne. Fewer bodies on the ground means fewer potential Blister Head transformations mid-fight.
How to Beat the Titan Spinner
Leon faces the Titan Spinner, a massive spider, inside the NF Building in East Raccoon City. Movement is everything in this fight. The Titan Spinner will chase you persistently, and it periodically vanishes from view to reappear from a different section of the building by crawling along the walls.
Shoot the fuel tanks scattered around the arena if the boss closes the gap on you. Watch out for the spiderlings it summons periodically. A Hatchet swipe clears them quickly, but if one latches onto Leon's face, you'll be briefly immobilized and completely vulnerable.
How to Beat Mr. X / Super Tyrant

Mr. X boss fight RPD
The Mr. X encounter plays out in two distinct phases. Inside the Raccoon Police Department (RPD), your only goal is escape. Head to the second floor and when Mr. X swings a helicopter tail at you, reverse course immediately.
The real battle takes place in the open area outside RPD:
- Mr. X charges frequently. Parry the rush with your Hatchet and sharpen the blade regularly to keep the parry timing consistent.
- When he moves near a vehicle, get away immediately. He will throw the car at you.
- His exposed heart on his chest is the weak point. Keep shooting it until the fight ends.
How to Beat Plant 43

Plant 43 waits at the end of the tunnels beneath Blackthorn Station. It has a central bulb and two flanking heads that snap at Leon for moderate damage. Watch which head is about to strike and sidestep in the opposite direction.
Your window to deal real damage is when the petals open on the main bulb. That's when you shoot the center mass. Once you've dealt enough damage, fuel tanks beneath the plant become exposed. Shoot them to incinerate the entire thing.
How to Beat The Commander

The Commander (possibly Hunk) is a CQC specialist and one of the more mechanically demanding fights in the game. Firearms are useless here.
- The opening phase is entirely about parry timing. Land your parries to stagger him, then follow up with your own strikes.
- He'll eventually start throwing smoke grenades to hide his position. Stay alert and keep your parry ready because he'll close the distance fast.
- When he grabs Leon by the throat, you'll hit a QTE sequence. Pass it or Leon dies.
important
Do not attempt to shoot the Commander during this fight. The parry-and-counter rhythm is the only effective approach, and wasting ammo will leave you underprepared for the fights ahead.
Final Boss: Victor and the Nemesis Form

Victor Nemesis final boss
The final confrontation with Victor Gideon only occurs if you pursue a specific ending. This fight has two distinct phases.
Victor: Phase 1
Victor fights with tentacle tendrils that you can still parry. His other key moves:
- He jumps to the arena's edge and begins charging electricity. A glowing line appears on the ground marking the strike zone. Move off it immediately.
- Right after the electric attack, he crashes down on your last known position. Keep moving constantly to avoid both hits in sequence.
Victor/Nemesis: Phase 2
After a cutscene, Victor transforms into a form that fans of Resident Evil 3 will immediately recognize. The fight becomes a pattern of targeting and staggering:
Repeat the cycle of shooting pustules to stagger, clearing the base growths, and surviving the grab sequences. When the final QTE triggers and Victor/Nemesis clutches Leon, pass it and hit the button prompt to drive your Hatchet into its core.
tip
Zeno does not appear as a playable boss encounter. His confrontation with Leon occurs only in the cutscene tied to the alternate ending, so you won't need a strategy for him in standard gameplay.
Boss Difficulty and Recommended Approach at a Glance
Every boss in Resident Evil Requiem rewards patience and positioning over raw aggression. Learn the pattern, respect the arena, and you'll make it through.
