Horses - Bridger: Western Wiki [Roblox ...

Getting around Bridger Western on foot is a slow way to get killed. Your horse is your lifeline, whether you're sprinting out of a bandit ambush, crossing the Swamp biome, or hauling a fishing haul back to camp. Every player starts with a Mule, but that default mount will only carry you so far before faster, tougher horses become a necessity. Here's everything you need to know to find, buy, and choose the right mount.

How do you summon your horse in Bridger Western?

Summoning your horse takes two key presses. Stand in any open area, press H to whistle, and your mount will appear. Then press N to climb on. Once mounted, use the directional keys to move and hold Shift to push your horse into a gallop. Speed during a gallop depends on your mount's Stamina stat, which controls how quickly it reaches top speed, so the blue stamina bar is worth watching. When it empties, your horse slows down until you stop or walk to let it recover.

One trick worth knowing: you can run your horse across water by holding Shift and tapping Spacebar repeatedly. Useful for crossing rivers quickly or escaping a fight across an awkward stretch of terrain.

Where do you buy horses in Bridger Western?

Horses are sold by horse dealer NPCs stationed near stables. Two stable locations exist: one opposite the train station in Main Town (sometimes called Ridge County), and one at the Outlaw Camp. Both locations have an NPC inside the stable building you can interact with.

The buying process works differently from a standard shop. The dealer presents a random horse and describes it, including its name and rough characteristics. You then choose between two options:

  • I'll take it: Purchases the horse and adds it to your collection.
  • Show me another: Forces the dealer to present a different mount, costing 20 Moola per use.

There is no catalog to browse, so finding the right horse takes some patience and Moola spent on rerolls. Horses range from 150 to 1,500 Moola depending on rarity and stats. Starter horses cost 150 to 499 Moola, mid-tier horses run 500 to 1,000 Moola, and Legendary or Mythic horses start from 1,200 Moola.

What do all the horse stats mean?

Press M to open your horse's stat screen at any time. Each horse has six stats, all ranging from 0.85 to 1.25 for standard mounts:

Speed is the stat that matters most for day-to-day survival. A faster horse lets you disengage from bandits, cover the map efficiently, and return to camp quickly after a big haul. Stamina is a close second because it directly controls how fast Speed kicks in. The other stats matter situationally: Scale becomes relevant if you're riding into fights regularly, and Damage pairs with the ram attack (activated by pressing F while mounted) for players who like aggressive mounted combat.

How do you identify Legendary and Mythical horses?

Spotting a high-rarity horse during the dealer's pitch comes down to two signals. Legendary and Mythical mounts have their names displayed in all capital letters and are typically bracketed. They generally cost more than 800 Moola, though the serious late-game horses run above 1,500 Moola.

The rarity breakdown in practical terms:

  • Legendary: One stat exceeds the 1.25 cap
  • Mythical: Two stats exceed the 1.25 cap

If the dealer presents a horse with a capitalized, bracketed name and a price above 1,200 Moola, that's a strong signal to buy rather than reroll. Spending 20 Moola per reroll adds up fast when you're hunting a Mythical, so set a budget before you start.

Tips for choosing the right horse

After testing mounts across price tiers, here's what holds up in practice:

  • Prioritize Speed first, Stamina second. Everything else is secondary unless you're building specifically for combat.
  • A horse costing over 1,000 Moola is the baseline for serious travel. Anything below that tier will feel slow once you've experienced a fast mount.
  • Legendary and Mythical horses have uppercase, bracketed names. If the name isn't formatted that way, you're looking at a standard-tier mount regardless of price.
  • The fastest way to earn Moola for horse upgrades is fishing for a relaxed grind or quest farming for faster returns.
  • Keep a faster horse for open-world travel and consider the Scale stat if you're frequently riding into PvP situations where your mount's health matters.
