Apollo's Song of Light is the second layer of the Wrath of Olympus in Fisch, and it's home to 12 fish species ranging from common Gleamfin Minnows to the exotic Helios Sunray. Getting here takes real effort, but once you're in, the bestiary is very completable if you know exactly what bait to use and when to cast. This guide covers every fish, every requirement, and the two events you absolutely cannot skip.
How do you reach Apollo's Song of Light?
Getting into Apollo's Song of Light requires clearing several steps in sequence. First, you need to complete the entire Bellona's Frenzy of War Bestiary. Then finish the Misplaced Sword and Shard Fragment quest. After that, survive Bellona's attack for nearly 1 minute without losing your HP. Do all three and you'll trigger a cutscene showing Bellona's Seal breaking, opening a passageway between the two areas. Jump through it and you're in.
danger
You must complete the full Bellona's Frenzy of War Bestiary before Apollo's Song of Light even becomes accessible. Don't skip ahead.
What are the light beams and why do they matter?
Once you're inside the Apollo's Song of Light POI, you'll notice beams of light falling onto the water's surface. These aren't decorative. According to the source data, fishing within these light beams prevents any negative effects on your lure speed and luck. Always position yourself inside a beam when casting, especially when targeting rarer fish.
All Fish in Apollo's Song of Light
Every fish in this bestiary requires Clear weather and daytime at minimum. The main variables are bait, season, and whether a special event is active. Here's the full breakdown:

How to catch the Solar Chorus Event fish
Three fish, the Prismfin Trout, Dawnflare Eel, and Solstice Ray, only appear during the Solar Chorus Event. This event is random, but the chance of it triggering increases the more players are actively fishing in the area. Bring friends or join a populated server to push the odds in your favor.
For the Dawnflare Eel specifically, both Clear and Windy weather work, making it slightly more forgiving than the other two event fish.
warning
Don't waste Squid or Shrimp bait before the Solar Chorus Event starts. Save premium bait specifically for event windows to avoid burning resources on empty casts.
How to trigger the Helios Sunray Hunt
The Helios Sunray is the exotic-tier fish and the hardest catch in the entire bestiary. The Helios Sunray Hunt Event only starts when you catch 25 legendary fish within the light beams during an active Solar Chorus Event, while all mirrors are facing the seal. Like the Solar Chorus Event itself, this is random but becomes more likely as more players fish in the area simultaneously.
The Helios Sunray requires no specific bait, but it only spawns during Summer in Clear weather. Plan your session around Summer season to maximize your chances.
info
Stack your legendary fish catches during Solar Chorus Events to build toward the 25-catch threshold. Every legendary caught inside a light beam counts toward triggering the Hunt.
Tips for completing the bestiary efficiently
A few patterns stand out after looking at the full fish list:
- Spring covers the most fish. Radiant Guppy, Lumen Bass, Beamtail Koi, Prismfin Trout, and Dawnflare Eel all appear in Spring. Start your session in Spring to knock out the most entries.
- Summer is mandatory for the rarest catches. Auric Angelfish, Empyrean Sunwhale, Solstice Ray, and Helios Sunray are all Summer-only. You need both seasons to finish.
- Minnow bait is the most versatile. It covers Gleamfin Minnow, Radiant Guppy, and Lumen Bass. Keep a solid stack on hand.
- Broken Arrow just needs the Magnet Rod. No weather or season conditions apply. Get it out of the way early.
- Event fish require patience. The Solar Chorus Event is the real bottleneck. A populated server shortens the wait significantly.
