Weapon refinement is the endgame upgrade system in Roblox Slayers 2 that lets you push your weapons beyond their base stats. It only opens up once you hit level 65 and complete a specific NPC quest, so this is firmly late-game territory. Get the system right and your weapons scale dramatically. Get it wrong and you can actually lose progress, which makes understanding the failure mechanic just as important as knowing where to farm. This guide covers every step: unlocking the system, farming the ores efficiently, and protecting your weapon levels once they climb.

How do you unlock weapon refinement in Slayers 2?

Head to the Hidden Mist Village and find the Blacksmith NPC on the ground level of a tall tower. Speaking to him triggers his quest, and completing it unlocks the refinement system. You cannot access any of this before reaching level 65, so there is no point rushing to the village early.

Finding the Hidden Mist Village is the first real obstacle. The village sits east of the Bamboo Grove Sanctuary, which itself is east of the starting spawn. A reliable landmark to use is the Obari Hashira Boss inside the Bamboo Grove. Once you locate Obari, push past him through one of the red archways. Look specifically for the archway surrounded by mist, then drop down into the thicker mist below. The Hidden Mist Village is at the bottom.

What materials do you need to refine weapons?

Three resources drive the refinement system:

  • Refinement Ores (standard upgrade material)
  • Mythic Refinement Ores (rarer, needed for higher-level refinements)
  • Wen (the game's standard currency, earned from quests and combat)

All three need to be stockpiled before you start refining seriously. Running out of Wen mid-session is a common mistake since it accumulates through normal play but drains fast when you are chaining multiple refinements.

How do you farm Refinement Ores efficiently?

Three farming methods exist, and they are not equally viable.

Hashira boss farming

Defeating Hashira bosses is the most efficient ore source by a significant margin. Bosses drop both Refinement Ores and Mythic Accessories as part of their loot tables. The Mythic Accessories open up a secondary ore income: bring them to Ginzo, a merchant at Mistfall Harbor, and trade them directly for Mythic Refinement Ores. This effectively gives you two ore streams from a single boss kill.

Before you can access Ginzo's shop, you need to complete his quest. Do not skip this step or the trade option stays locked.

Ouwigahara dungeon farming

The Ouwigahara dungeon sits at the south of the map, adjacent to the Forgotten Ruins. Ore is available here, but the exchange rate is punishing: you need a large volume of dungeon raid points to get even a small ore payout. Treat this as a supplement to boss farming rather than a replacement.

Fishing

You can fish out both Refinement Ores and Refinement Guards from any body of water. The drop rate is extremely low, and the time investment rarely justifies the return for players who can handle combat. That said, if Slayers 2's boss fights are still giving you trouble at this stage, fishing gives you a slow but combat-free path to building your ore supply.

warning
Do not rely on fishing as your primary ore source. The drop rates are categorized as the rarest "Impossible" rarity tier, meaning you can spend a long session with nothing to show for it.

How do you prevent refinement failure?

Refinement can fail, and when it does, your weapon drops one level. Chain a few failures together on a high-level weapon and the cost in ores and Wen adds up fast.

The counter to this is the Refinement Guard. Equip one before a refinement attempt and a failure will not lower your weapon's level. The problem is that Refinement Guards are rare: they drop from boss loot chests and can occasionally be fished out, but both sources sit at the "Impossible" rarity tier. You will not be collecting these quickly.

important
Save Refinement Guards for weapons that are already at a high refinement level. Using one on a low-level weapon wastes a scarce resource since the cost of losing one level early is much lower than losing a level on a weapon you have spent weeks upgrading.

The practical approach is to refine freely at lower weapon levels and only slot in a Refinement Guard once you reach refinement tiers where a single failure would be genuinely painful. Farming bosses consistently is the best way to build a Guard stockpile alongside your ore supply.

Building your refinement routine

The most efficient loop looks like this: run Hashira bosses in sequence to collect ores and Mythic Accessories, trade the accessories to Ginzo for Mythic Refinement Ores, accumulate Wen through quests and combat between boss runs, and hold Refinement Guards until your weapons hit higher tiers. The Ouwigahara dungeon can fill gaps when you need a change of pace, and fishing remains an option for anyone who prefers a lower-intensity session.
