The Switch 2 Edition of Super Mario Bros. Wonder adds seven Koopaling boss fights to the game, each locked behind a Brigade Tent you need to track down on the world map first. Most are tucked into corners or require you to unlock paths before you can reach them. Miss one and the whole chain stalls. Here's exactly where to find all seven, plus what each Koopaling throws at you once the fight starts.
How does the Koopaling quest begin?
You don't need to hunt down a Brigade Tent for the opening encounter. The moment you step into Bellabel Park for the first time, a new cutscene fires up: the Koopalings crash the party and steal the park's Bellabel Flowers. A short multi-boss fight follows, and once you scatter them across the Flower Kingdom, the real hunt begins. One important note: this opening fight can only be replayed by starting a fresh save file, so don't expect a rematch option later.
The Koopalings must be defeated in world order. You can't skip ahead to a later Brigade Tent until the previous Koopaling has been beaten.
Where to find every Brigade Tent
There are seven Koopaling showdowns total. Six require you to locate a Brigade Tent on the world map. The seventh, Ludwig, skips the tent entirely and becomes available automatically after Morton falls.

Bellabel Park entry point
Wendy's Showdown (World 1: Pipe Rock Plateau)
Head back to Pipe Rock Plateau after the Bellabel Park opener. Enter the world's main area and move north toward the gap sitting between the Bullrush Coming Through and Hurry Hurry levels. Pass the Poplin standing nearby and the first Brigade Tent appears immediately on your right. Wendy's Wonder Power transforms her into a massive Cheep Cheep, and the remixed version of Piranha Plants on Parade now has purple Cheep Cheeps leaping at you throughout.
Lemmy's Showdown (World 2: Fluff-Puff Peaks)
Once Wendy is down, move on to Fluff-Puff Peaks. The levels here are split across clouds at different elevations. Skip the ground level by taking the path on the right up to the first pink cloud area. Walk past the Poplin shop and the second Brigade Tent sits directly above you in that open cloud area. Press A to talk to Captain Toad and enter the fight. Lemmy's Wonder Power turns him into a jester who lobs oversized yellow bombs across the stage.
Bring the elephant power-up into Lemmy's level. Flicking his bombs aside with your trunk makes the stage significantly more manageable.

Larry's Showdown (World 3: Shining Falls)
In Shining Falls, reach the first open area and immediately turn left. Follow the path that begins at the Crouching High Jump 1 Badge Challenge upward into the next open area. Larry's Brigade Tent sits in the center of that space, between The Sharp Trial: Launch to Victory and The Sugarstar Trial: Across the Night Sky. His remixed stage is built on the Midway Trial: Hop to It level, with crystal blocks filling the path and explosive enemies scattered throughout.
Roy's Showdown (World 4: Sunbaked Desert)
Roy's tent is one of the trickier ones to reach given how open Sunbaked Desert is. Enter the world's big open area and walk in a straight line around the oasis all the way to the eastern border of the map. A staircase there lets you climb up onto the rooftops. Follow the steps and platforms past Color-Switch Dungeon and stop just before the staircase leading up to World 4's castle. Roy's Brigade Tent sits at the base of that final staircase.
Roy's Wonder Power turns him into a giant ghost commanding a ghostly galleon. When the ship appears in the background, Roy rains Fish Bones down on you.
Equip the Flower Pot power-up before entering Roy's level. The big flowers it launches skyward clear Fish Bones efficiently and take a lot of pressure off the fight.
Iggy's Showdown (World 5: Fungi Mines)
World 5's Brigade Tent is easy to walk straight past. After crossing the bridge into Fungi Mines, instinct pushes you to head between the first two levels and drop into the mines below. Do that and you'll miss the tent entirely. Instead, keep walking in a straight line after the bridge until you're almost at the Light-Switch Mansion level. The Brigade Tent for Iggy's fight is off to the right, tucked into the corner of the surface's open area.
Inside the transformed version of Upshroom Downshroom, Iggy summons giant Piranha Plants up through the floor. Unlike most Koopaling powers, this one can actually work in your favor: wait for the plants to stop moving, then use them as platforms to bounce through the stage.
Morton's Showdown (World 6: Deep Magma Bog)
Morton's Brigade Tent is the hardest to reach. Deep Magma Bog is already a maze, and the tent isn't near any entrance or open area. From the world entry, follow the only available path down, then go right and down again. Stop before the castle. Continue right until you reach Where the Rrrumbas Rule, then go down a third time. From there, go left over a bridge, past the Deep Magma Bog Flying Battleship, and head down once more when you hit the Magmafalls notes.
Now at the deepest point of the Bog, head right past the Poplin who requires Flower Coins to clear the path (pay up if you haven't already), and Morton's Brigade Tent is waiting just beyond him.
Morton's Wonder Power is the most memorable of the seven: he transforms into a giant marionette puppet, with smaller Koopas in the foreground pulling his strings. Each fist slam makes the heated blocks in the transformed Hot-Hot Hot stage jump and threatens to burn you on contact.
Don't head toward the castle in Deep Magma Bog or you've gone too far. Morton's tent requires three separate downward turns before you reach it.
Ludwig's Showdown (Bellabel Park)
Ludwig is the only Koopaling who skips the Brigade Tent system entirely. After Morton falls, you're returned to Bellabel Park and the option to fight Ludwig appears immediately. Captain Toad is already there. To replay the fight later, look for the signpost in front of the fast-travel flower, which also lets you warp back to any of the other six tents once their fights are complete.
Ludwig's stage is the only one rated four stars for difficulty, and it earns that rating fast. He transforms into an ominous giant cloud and uses wind to push you backward while summoning lightning strikes throughout the Koopa Troopa skating level.
What order should you tackle the Koopalings?
The fights are locked sequentially, so there's no skipping ahead. Beat Wendy to unlock Lemmy, beat Lemmy to unlock Larry, and so on. The difficulty curve climbs steadily, with Roy and Morton presenting the most navigation headaches and Ludwig being the toughest actual fight. Plan your power-up loadout before each attempt: elephant for Lemmy, Flower Pot for Roy, and patience for Iggy.
Once all seven Bellabel Flowers are returned to their arch in Bellabel Park, every Brigade Tent becomes replayable via fast-travel. For more Super Mario Bros. Wonder guides and other gaming coverage, browse the full guides library at GAMES.GG.
