Year 8 Season 1 of The Division 2 dropped on April 2, 2026, and the Rise Up Manhunt kicked off immediately. Week 1 puts SHD Agents in the Federal Triangle district, where hostile forces are pushing hard to establish a foothold. Three Scout 1 objectives stand between you and the next chapter of the season story, and none of them are especially punishing once you know what the clues actually mean.

What are the Scout 1 objectives in Y8S1 Rise Up?

The game presents the three tasks as in-world intelligence clues rather than plain mission names. Here's what each clue translates to, as documented by both Sportskeeda and Destructoid:

The order matters here. Completing the Control Point first means it counts toward the open-world activities tally, saving you one extra task.

How to take over the Navy Plaza Control Point

Navy Plaza sits on the east side of the DC headquarters. Federal Triangle has only one Control Point, so there's no risk of heading to the wrong location. Once you trigger the takeover, hostiles will push from multiple directions simultaneously.

The key mechanic here is straightforward: hold your ground against the waves until the boss spawns, then eliminate the boss to complete the capture. Taking cover and calling in nearby friendly agents through the support request system makes this considerably less painful, especially if you're running solo.

How to complete open-world activities in Federal Triangle

This objective asks for three open-world activities completed in Federal Triangle. The five activity types available in the district are:

  • Propaganda Broadcast
  • Public Execution
  • Resource Convoy
  • Territory Control
  • Hostage Rescue

Here's what most players miss: the Navy Plaza Control Point takeover you already completed counts as one of the three. You only need two more activities from the list above to satisfy this objective. Pick whichever two spawn closest to your current position to minimize travel time.

How to complete Jefferson Trade Center

The final Scout 1 task sends you to the Jefferson Trade Center main mission. According to both sources, you can run this on any difficulty, so there's no requirement to push into harder content just to tick the objective.

If the goal is purely to finish Scout 1 and move on, lower difficulty is the pragmatic choice. Higher difficulty runs do offer better loot, but that's a separate decision from progression.

Once the final mission concludes, a voice recording autoplays. Manny Ortega can be heard discussing a UFO sighting with a civilian. The full context of that conversation will presumably unfold across later weeks of the season.

Week 2 of the Rise Up Manhunt will build on these foundations, so getting Scout 1 done early puts you ahead of the weekly schedule. For more The Division 2 guides and the latest on Y8S1, browse the full guide library at GAMES.GG.
