Umamusume: Pretty Derby is pulling out all the stops for its 1st Anniversary on the global server, running a four-part celebration from March 2 to March 26, 2026. Whether you've been training at Tracen Academy since day one or you're just getting started, this event is packed with free Carats, gacha pulls, a brand-new career scenario, and one of the most valuable SSR selectors the game has offered so far. Log in every day, clear the event missions, and you'll walk away with a significantly stronger roster.

What Is the 1st Anniversary Event Structure?
The celebration is divided into four sequential parts, each unlocking new missions, bonuses, and content on specific dates. Here's the full timeline at a glance:
Several bonuses introduced during the event, including doubled training rewards and the reduced 15 TP career cost (down from the usual 30 TP), remain active until April 14, 2026. That extended window makes this one of the most efficient stretches in the game's history to push your account forward.
Even if you join mid-event, Parts 3 and 4 alone offer an SSR Exchange Ticket, 22 free pulls, and 150 Carats per day. Don't skip logging in.
Part 1 Rewards: What Do You Get From March 2 to March 12?
The opening phase focuses on building your resource base fast. Simply logging in each day nets you 150 Carats, stacking up to 1,500 Carats across the ten-day window. On top of that, one free single scout per day is available for either the Pretty Derby Scout (characters) or the Support Card Scout, running from March 3 to March 13 for a total of 10 free pulls.
Part 1 Mission Rewards
Beyond the login and mission rewards, Part 1 brings several quality-of-life improvements that last through April 14:
- Daily Race tickets increase from 3 to 6 per day
- Daily Races pay out double Monies and Support Points
- Career scenario training rewards are doubled
- TP cost to start a career run drops from 30 TP to 15 TP
The Special Anniversary Shop also opens during this phase, letting you exchange Monies, Club Points, and Friend Points for Scout Tickets and Uncap Crystal Fragments. The shop stays open through April 14, so there's no need to rush those exchanges.
On the competitive side, the Aquarius Cup Champions Meeting runs during Part 1, featuring a Mile race (1,600m) on Tokyo Turf under winter and sunny conditions. Registrations close before the races begin on March 6.

Part 2 Rewards: How Do You Get 120 Free Pulls?
Part 2 is the biggest single phase of the anniversary and the one most players will remember. Starting March 12, the daily login bonus jumps to 300 Carats per day, and the free scout changes from a single pull to a 10x pull every day for 12 days, totaling 120 free pulls. Those pulls split evenly: 60 go toward the Pretty Derby Scout (characters) and 60 toward the Support Card Scout.
Part 2 Mission Rewards
The Satono Diamond (Wit SSR) is particularly notable here: 3 copies come from completing missions, and 2 more arrive through the login bonus, giving you 5 total copies to work with for limit breaking.
New Banners in Part 2
Two new trainees join the scout pool: Kitasan Black and Matikane Tannhauser. New support cards include Narita Top Road (Speed SSR), Sakura Bakushin O (Power SR), Admire Vega (Guts SR), and Mejiro Ryan (Stamina SR).
The Trackblazer: Start of the Climax scenario itself is a permanent addition, originally released during the Japanese version's 1st Anniversary. The Flying Run-Up! story event also launches alongside it on March 12.
Part 3 Rewards: Which SSR Should You Pick With the Exchange Ticket?
Part 3 runs from March 23 to March 26 and brings a shorter but high-value set of rewards. The daily login bonus returns to 150 Carats per day, and you get 11 more free single pulls for the Pretty Derby Scout.
Part 3 Mission Rewards
The SSR Exchange Ticket lets you pick any SSR Support Card released up to and including the New Year banner. Here's the priority order based on long-term value:
- Kitasan Black (Fire at My Heels) - Top-tier Speed card with PvP-grade stat output. First pick if you don't own it.
- Super Creek (Piece of Mind) - Stamina card that makes hitting stamina thresholds in Medium and Long Champions Meetings much easier.
- Matikane Fukukitaru (Touching Sleeves Is Good Luck!) - Strong Speed card for the Trackblazer scenario, but only worth selecting if you can max it out. Underwhelming at lower uncap levels.
- Fine Motion (Wave of Gratitude) - Solid Wit card that provides easy access to Practice Perfect and good stat gains.
Only pick Matikane Fukukitaru if you're prepared to fully uncap the card. At lower limit break levels it underperforms significantly compared to the other options on this list.
Part 3 also unlocks Very Hard difficulty for Daily Races, offering stronger opponents and better rewards for players whose trainees are ready for the challenge. Two limited paid scout banners also appear, each offering a one-time 10x pull with guaranteed SSR results for 1,500 paid Carats.
Part 4 Rewards: What New Systems Arrive in the Final Phase?
Part 4 kicks off on March 26 and wraps up the main celebration while introducing content that stays in the game permanently.
Free Pulls and New Banners
Another 11 free pulls are available for the Pretty Derby Scout or Support Card Scout. Mejiro Bright joins the trainee scout pool, alongside reruns of the Curren Chan (Wit SSR) and Zenno Rob Roy (Speed SSR) support card banners.
Group Support Cards
A brand-new card type called Group Cards makes its debut with the Team Sirius card. Unlike standard Pal Cards, Group Cards feature multiple characters in a single card, giving you access to more training events and a wider set of effects during a single career run. You can also take them on Recreation trips for additional benefits.
Pisces Cup Champions Meeting
The Pisces Cup registration opens March 26, based on the Tenno Sho (Spring) race held at Hanshin Racecourse. It's a Long-distance Turf race, so you'll want trainees built around strong Stamina and late-race acceleration skills to compete well.
Main Story Final Chapter Part 1
The first half of the Main Story's Final Chapter becomes available during Part 4. Clearing it rewards you with the Team Sirius Group SSR support card, making it worth completing as soon as possible.
Daily Legend Races
Starting March 26, Daily Legend Races become a permanent feature. You can challenge one Legend Race per day to earn Carats, Star Pieces, and a trophy on your first clear of each race. This is a significant long-term addition to the daily routine for veteran players.

How Do You Maximize Every Part of the Anniversary?
With so many moving pieces across four parts, here's a focused action plan:
- Log in every single day across all four parts. The total free Carat count across all login bonuses exceeds 6,000, and missing even a few days cuts into that significantly.
- Play Trackblazer actively during Part 2. The five total copies of Satono Diamond SSR you earn from missions and login bonuses are only fully available if you engage with the scenario.
- Spend the SSR Exchange Ticket on Kitasan Black first, unless you already own and have limit-broken it. Super Creek is the next best pick for most players.
- Farm Daily Races with six tickets per day during the doubled reward period. The Monies and Support Points stack up quickly and help you upgrade support cards in the Anniversary Shop.
- Enter both the Aquarius Cup and Pisces Cup to maximize Champions Meeting rewards on top of the event bonuses.
The doubled training rewards and halved TP cost for career runs continue through April 14, well past the main event window. Use that extended period to train multiple trainees back-to-back.
Post-Anniversary: What Stays After March 26?
Several systems introduced during the celebration become permanent parts of Umamusume: Pretty Derby:
- The Trackblazer: Start of the Climax career scenario remains accessible indefinitely
- Daily Legend Races are now a permanent daily feature
- The Anniversary Shop stays open until April 14
- Doubled training rewards and 15 TP career cost remain active until April 14
This makes the weeks immediately following the main event nearly as valuable as the event itself for account progression.
