The Springtime Floating Festival is Disney Dreamlight Valley's latest time-limited event, running from April 29 to May 19. A floating island packed with six puzzles has appeared above the valley, each one hiding an exclusive reward you can't get anywhere else. Three puzzles are live right now, with the remaining three unlocking on a staggered schedule through mid-May. Here's everything you need to solve them all.
How does the Springtime Floating Festival work?
The festival takes place on a magical floating island separate from Dreamlight Valley itself. To get there, head to the Plaza biome and interact with the floral portal decorated with flowers, bees, and butterflies. You can also skip straight there by hitting the Teleport button on the Springtime Floating Festival Event page, accessible through the Events tab.
To return to Dreamlight Valley, use the fast-travel well near the island's entrance. The island won't stick around forever, so make sure you're working through puzzles before May 19.

Enter via the Plaza portal
Some puzzles unlock on a delay. Don't panic if you can't find all six on day one. The Labyrinth unlocks May 3, the Spring Island Quiz on May 7, and the Escape Maze on May 11.
What are all the Springtime Floating Festival rewards?
There are six exclusive rewards, one for each puzzle. All of them are event-only items, so you can't earn them after May 19.
Each reward arrives inside a festival rewards pouch that spawns after you complete the corresponding puzzle. Collect and open it to add the item to your inventory.

How to solve the Rotating Statues puzzle
From the island entrance, turn left to find a group of statues beside a small pond. Before touching anything, locate the golden sparkle book sitting on the ground beneath the pink canopy to the left. Reading it gives you a riddle with three clues:
- The lion looks to its own reflection.
- The people look to one another.
- The crow looks to no one, only for bright blooms.
Here's what each clue means in practice:
- Lion statue: Face it toward the pond so it sees its own reflection in the water.
- Crow statue: Turn it to face the Red Bell Flower nearby, not the water or other statues.
- Two people statues: Rotate them to face each other. You only need to move one of them.
Once all three statues are correctly positioned, you'll hear a chime and a red rewards pouch appears on the ground. Open it to claim the Rearing Stallion Topiary.
If you don't hear the chime after positioning the statues, double-check the crow. It needs to face the Red Bell Flower, not the water.
How to solve the Bamboo Fountain puzzle
From the fast-travel well, head right and walk through the walled arch into the Mulan-inspired area. Find the golden sparkle book on the table to the left. It lists the exact materials needed to repair the broken Bamboo Fountain across from you.
You need:
- Springy Bamboo x20 (found on the ground in the training area of the Mulan zone, up to 3 spawn at a time)
- Hardwood x99
- Softwood x99
Springy Bamboo only exists on the festival island. You cannot substitute regular Bamboo from the A Rift in Time expansion even though they look similar. For Hardwood and Softwood, use the fast-travel well to return to Dreamlight Valley.
Where to find Softwood: Ground near trees in the Plaza, Peaceful Meadow, Forest of Valor, and Glade of Trust.
Where to find Hardwood: Ground near trees in Frosted Heights, Forest of Valor, Glade of Trust, and Sunlit Plateau.
Once your inventory is stocked, interact with the Bamboo Fountain to deposit all materials. The fountain repairs itself and drops a rewards pouch containing the Spring Bamboo Fountain.
Collecting 20 Springy Bamboo takes time since only 3 spawn at once. Grab them first, then head back to Dreamlight Valley for wood while you wait for more to respawn.
How to solve the Tinker Bell Capybara Critter puzzle
This is the most time-intensive of the three day-one puzzles. Somewhere on the island you'll spot a Tinker Bell Capybara with fairy wings wandering around. The goal is to feed it the correct flower on four separate days.
To find out what to feed it, go to the Wonderland-style area of the festival and open the rest chest next to the giant pink tea cup. Inside is an orange Memory Orb. Opening it adds a Memory to your Events collection showing a colour wheel with flower silhouettes, one for each day of the week.
The full feeding schedule is:
- Monday: Red Daisy
- Tuesday: Orange Houseleek
- Wednesday: Sunflower
- Thursday: Green Rising Penstemon
- Friday: Blue Hydrangea
- Saturday: Black Passion Lily
- Sunday: Purple Falling Penstemon
Each time you feed the Capybara the correct flower, a Memory Orb spawns. Collect it to reveal one piece of a four-part image. After feeding the Capybara on four different days, the complete image shows the location of a dig spot somewhere on the island. Head to that spot and use your Royal Shovel to dig up the Gardener's Apron reward.
You can only feed the Capybara once per real-world day, so plan around this before the event ends.
Puzzles unlocking later in the event
Three puzzles are still locked as of April 29.
- Labyrinth puzzle unlocks May 3, reward: Lily Pad Cymbal Frog
- Spring Island Quiz puzzle unlocks May 7, reward: Cheerful Garden Gnome
- Escape Maze puzzle unlocks May 11, reward: Wonderland Bird Umbrella
Details on solving these will be added as they become available. The event runs through May 19, so even the final puzzle gives you over a week of buffer time.
The Escape Maze unlocks May 11 and the event ends May 19. That's only 8 days. Don't sleep on it once it goes live.
How long does the Springtime Floating Festival last?
The event runs for exactly three weeks, from April 29 to May 19. The staggered puzzle unlock schedule means you'll be returning to the island multiple times across the event window rather than clearing everything in one session. That's actually useful for the Capybara puzzle, which requires four separate daily visits regardless.
