Eidolon Remaster: Update 24.6 ...

Your Operator's Amp is one of the most important tools in Warframe, yet it's also one of the most misunderstood systems in the game. Whether you're stepping onto the Plains of Eidolon for the first time or pushing into late-game Zariman content, the right Amp combination makes the difference between struggling through encounters and melting through them with precision. This guide breaks down every stage of Amp progression, from your first craftable build to the modded endgame setups that veterans rely on.

What Is a Warframe Amp and How Does It Work?

An Amp is a special weapon wielded by your Operator, the human child piloting your Warframe. Unlike standard weapons, Amps fire Void energy and are essential for stripping shields from Eidolons, killing certain Sentient-adjacent enemies, and priming targets with status effects in late-game builds.

Amps are assembled from three distinct components:

  • Prism (the primary fire, listed as the first number in shorthand notation)
  • Scaffold (the secondary fire, listed as the second number)
  • Brace (the passive stat modifier, listed as the third number)

The community refers to Amp builds using a three-digit shorthand based on the order components are unlocked through the Quills (Cetus) and Vox Solaris (Fortuna) syndicates. For example, a 777 Amp uses the Klamora Prism, Propa Scaffold, and Certus Brace. These numbers reflect unlock progression, not raw power rankings, so a series 7 component isn't automatically superior to a series 1 in every situation.

Beginner Amp Builds: Your First Steps Past the Mote Amp

The Mote Amp you start with is functional, but only barely. The moment you reach Quills Rank 1 (Mote), you can craft your first real Amp. The goal at this stage is simple: get good enough to complete Tridolon Hunts, which reward you with Arcane Enhancements, Focus Points via Eidolon Shards, Sentient Cores to level up The Quills, and Brilliant Eidolon Shards to unbind Focus nodes.

The 111 Amp (Raplak + Pencha + Clapkra)

The 111 Amp pairs the Raplak Prism (semi-auto, long-range, precise hit-scan) with the Pencha Scaffold (charged beam) and the Clapkra Brace (+40 Amp Energy pool). It's a straightforward upgrade over the Mote Amp thanks to the Raplak's consistent single-target damage against Eidolon shields. This is the first craftable Amp for new players and a reliable stepping stone.

The 223 Amp (Shwaak + Shraksun + Lohrin)

Once you hit Quills Rank 2 (Observer), the 223 Amp becomes available and is noticeably easier to use than the 111. The Shwaak Prism fires a semi-auto, medium-range projectile with Infinite Body Punch Through, meaning a single shot can clip multiple Eidolon limbs simultaneously. Paired with the Lohrin Brace (+12% Amp Critical and Status Chance), this combination delivers higher DPS than the 111 and forgives imprecise aim.

The 143 Amp (Raplak + Phahd + Lohrin)

For players who prefer pinpoint accuracy, the 143 Amp is arguably the best DPS configuration using only Quills components. The Phahd Scaffold fires powerful shots that bounce between targets, making it effective in both single-target and multi-target scenarios. Combined with the Lohrin Brace for the Critical and Status bonus, this build punches well above its accessibility tier.

Mid-Game Amp Builds: Unlocking Vox Solaris Power

Once you've progressed through Fortuna and reached Vox Solaris Rank 4, two components open up that define mid-game Amp performance:

  • Propa Scaffold (series 7, x7x): A timed explosive that also detonates on impact. This is the highest damage-per-shot Scaffold available and the go-to choice for efficient Eidolon Hunts.
  • Certus Brace (series 7, xx7): Provides a flat +20% Critical Chance, making it a universal DPS upgrade that benefits virtually every Prism.

At this stage, you'll also need a capable Amp to damage Ropalolyst shields, so upgrading from beginner builds becomes a practical necessity.

The 177 Amp (Raplak + Propa + Certus)

The 177 Amp is the go-to mid-game build for maximizing Critical Damage against Eidolon shields. The Raplak Prism handles long-range single-target fire while the Propa Scaffold covers short-range AoE bursts, including clearing Eidolon Vomvalysts that spawn around the Eidolon's legs. Think of this as the evolved form of the 123 build, with the Certus Brace pushing crit performance to a new level.

The 175 Variant (Raplak + Propa + Suo)

If you find yourself running out of energy before finishing shield phases, the 175 Amp swaps the Certus Brace for the Suo Brace (+100 Amp Energy Pool, though with a +2s Recharge Delay). This sacrifices some Critical Chance in exchange for the ability to spam Propa shots more freely. You can compensate for the lost crit using Eternal Onslaught or Omn-Evi mods later.

The 577 Amp (Cantic + Propa + Certus)

The 577 Amp is the direct alternative to 177 for players who prefer the Cantic Prism (quick, precise three-shot burst) over the Raplak's single-shot feel. Both Prisms serve similar roles at long range, so this comes down to personal playstyle. The Propa Scaffold and Certus Brace remain unchanged, keeping the damage profile consistent.

The 547 Variant (Cantic + Phahd + Certus)

The 547 Amp substitutes the Phahd Scaffold for players who prefer the bouncing-shot mechanic over the Propa's explosive timing. It leans more single-target but retains some AoE through the Phahd's bounce behavior.

The 777 Amp (Klamora + Propa + Certus)

The 777 Amp is a high-burst, high-energy-consumption build built around the Klamora Prism, a wide short-range beam that excels at mid-range multi-target and short-range AoE engagements. On its own, it drains energy fast. However, pairing it with Eternal Logistics and Vikla-Safor (Tektolyst Artifact Mods from late-game) reduces energy consumption to near zero, unlocking its full potential.

The 747 Variant (Klamora + Phahd + Certus)

The 747 Amp gives Klamora users the Phahd Scaffold's long-range single-target capability as a secondary option, covering the range gap that the Klamora Prism's short-range beam creates.

How Do Focus Trees Improve Your Amp?

Once you unlock the Madurai Focus tree, several nodes directly amplify Amp performance:

  • Phoenix Talons, Power Transfer, and Void Strike all increase Amp damage output
  • Inner Gaze and Eternal Gaze improve ammo economy, reducing how often you need to recharge

The Unairu Focus tree also contributes through Unairu Wisp, which increases Amp damage for your entire squad when activated. If you're running group Tridolon Hunts, having a dedicated Unairu Operator is a meaningful team contribution.

Late-Game Amp Progression: Mods, Arcanes, and Priming

After completing The New War, you'll have access to every Amp component combination. At this stage, progression shifts from crafting to modding, and the focus of your Amp may change entirely depending on content.

What Enemies Require an Amp?

Amps remain mandatory in late-game content for killing specific enemy types:

  • Thrax Centurion
  • Thrax Legatus
  • Void Angel

For these encounters, your Amp may be used for priming (applying status effects to set up weapon damage) rather than direct killing. This changes which Arcanes and mods you prioritize.

Late-Game Arcanes from Zariman Ten Zero

Completing Angels of the Zariman unlocks the Zariman Ten Zero tileset and access to three powerful Amp Arcanes:

  • Eternal Eradicate: Enhances Amp damage against specific targets
  • Eternal Logistics: Reduces energy costs, critical for sustaining the 777 Amp's beam
  • Eternal Onslaught: Provides Critical Chance, useful as a Certus Brace substitute on 175 builds

From Vox Solaris, you can also acquire damage-type conversion Arcanes for priming specific status procs:

  • Virtuos Forge: Converts Amp damage to Heat
  • Virtuos Trojan: Converts Amp damage to Viral
  • Virtuos Spike: Converts Amp damage to Puncture

Tektolyst Artifact Mods

Completing The Old Peace quest unlocks Tektolyst Artifact Mods, a new layer of Amp customization. These include Ubri-Kaneph, Sil-Tabol, Hayan-Dabor, Vikla-Safor, Omn-Evi, Hok-Kaal, and Vik-Anam. The most notable for active builds are Vikla-Safor (which pairs with Eternal Logistics to enable near-zero energy consumption on the 777) and Omn-Evi (which restores Critical Chance on builds using the Suo Brace).

What's the Best Amp for Eidolon Hunting?

For most players at mid-game, the 177 Amp or 577 Amp with the Certus Brace represents the strongest practical choice for Tridolon Hunts. The Propa Scaffold's high damage-per-shot handles shield phases efficiently, while the Certus Brace's +20% flat Critical Chance applies universally.

For advanced players running organized groups, the 777 Amp with Eternal Logistics and Vikla-Safor becomes viable and delivers exceptional burst damage when energy costs are managed correctly.

Relic Farming to Support Your Amp Progression

Building strong Amps requires grinding through Warframe's syndicate systems, but your broader progression also benefits from efficient Prime Relic farming. Relics are tiered into Lith, Meso, Neo, and Axi categories, each dropping from different mission types. Defense and Capture missions cover Lith relics, while Disruption and Survival missions are the primary sources for Axi relics. Understanding which mission type targets which relic tier saves significant time when you're working toward specific Prime parts to trade for Platinum to fund Amp crafting costs.

Star Days Event: Grab the Ignis Wraith While You Can

If you're playing during the Star Days seasonal event, don't overlook the Ignis Wraith blueprint available from Ticker in Fortuna for 12 Advanced Debt-Bonds. While not directly tied to Amp builds, the Ignis Wraith is one of the best crowd-control weapons in the game and pairs naturally with Operator gameplay. Debt-Bonds can be earned either by purchasing them directly from Ticker or as Bounty stage rewards in Orb Vallis.
