Angels of Delusion Nangong Yu Playable ...

ZZZ 2.7 is live — here's where your Polychromes should go

Zenless Zone Zero 2.7 dropped on March 24, 2026, and it's a patch with a clear standout and a few filler options. Two new S-Rank agents debut alongside two reruns, two new Drive Discs land in the pool, and the Season 2 story moves into its epilogue with the Hollow Champion tournament. If you're staring at your Polychrome stash trying to decide what to do, this guide breaks down every banner in the patch and gives you a straight answer.

What's new in ZZZ 2.7?

Version 2.7 runs in two phases. Phase 1 ran from March 24 to April 15, 2026, featuring Nangong Yu (debut) and Yidhari (rerun). Phase 2 runs from April 15 to May 5, 2026, with Cissia (debut) and Seed (rerun).

The A-Rank rate-ups shift between phases too. Phase 1 featured Nicole and Piper, while Phase 2 brings Pulchra and Ben.

Two new signature W-Engines arrived alongside the new agents: Neon Fantasies for Nangong Yu and Serpentine Seeker for Cissia. There's also a free A-Rank W-Engine called The Simmering Pot, earnable from the Chronicle of Simmering Flavors event.

Should you pull Nangong Yu?

Nangong Yu is an Ether Stun agent and, according to the pull analysis documented by Lootbar, the highest-priority unit in this patch. Her kit is built specifically around anomaly teams, which makes her genuinely different from previous stunners.

Here's what her kit does in practice: she extends stun duration by 3 seconds, raises the stun multiplier by 30%, and grants 20% DMG plus 50 ATK through her Ether Veil. She also pushes anomaly buildup up by 30% on stunned enemies and another 30% during chain attacks in stun. On top of that, she increases Abloom damage by 25% and allows up to 2 Polarity Disorders per stun window. That last part is significant for players running double-anomaly setups.

The agents who benefit most from her kit are Aria, Miyabi, and Yanagi, since all three want longer stun windows and faster anomaly application. She also enables backswap quick assists when triggering Polarity Disorder, which adds a layer of flexibility to rotations.

The short version: if you play anomaly teams or plan to, Nangong Yu is the pull of the patch. She's the only stunner in the game designed specifically for this playstyle. Skip her only if you're banking Polychromes for a future unit and don't run anomaly comps at all.

Should you pull Yidhari (rerun)?

Yidhari is an Ice Rupture DPS whose damage scales off HP rather than ATK. That single mechanic separates her from almost every other carry in the game and requires a different build approach entirely.

She gains power as her HP drops, with built-in damage reduction and interruption resistance to keep her alive during those low-HP windows. The upside is high damage output when built correctly. The downside is that she leans heavily on Lucia as a support — according to the Lootbar pull guide, more universal options like Astra, Zhao, and Caesar don't provide as much value to her Rupture scaling. Without Lucia and a solid stunner, her performance drops noticeably.

Pull Yidhari if you already have Lucia and want a strong Ice carry. Skip her if you're missing her core supports or prefer a more flexible DPS option.

Should you pull Cissia?

Cissia is an Electric Attack agent who functions as a straightforward on-field DPS. Her kit builds Venom stacks to amplify damage, particularly during stun windows, and she can generate her own damage zone through Serpent's Eye without needing heavy setup from teammates.

She's easy to use and slots into most Electric team comps without friction. The issue is that she doesn't bring anything the meta is missing. If you already have a reliable attacker, Cissia won't push your account forward in a meaningful way. She's a solid pick for newer players who need a main DPS, but experienced players with a full roster can safely skip her and save for stronger future units.

Should you pull Seed (rerun)?

Seed is an Electric Attack agent built around burst damage and quick-swap play. She functions as both a damage dealer and a buffer for a second attacker, making her a fit for dual-DPS Electric teams rather than solo-carry setups.

Her value depends entirely on having the right partner. She's designed to buff another attacker during her short field time, so running her without a compatible second DPS wastes most of her kit. If you're planning a dual-Electric lineup with Cissia or a similar unit, Seed is worth considering. If you want a standalone carry, she's not the right pick.

New Drive Discs in 2.7

Two new Drive Disc sets arrived in 2.7, and both are worth knowing about before you spend farming resources.

Bunny in Wonderland is built for Defense characters. The 4-piece effect triggers when the equipped character uses an EX Special Attack or when any squad member activates a Defensive or Evasive Assist, increasing all squad members' DMG by 6%, stacking up to 3 times, lasting 25 seconds per stack.

Notes From the Chained targets Ice Anomaly characters. The 4-piece effect grants 48 Anomaly Proficiency for 30 seconds when the wearer triggers Abloom, and boosts Attribute Anomaly DMG and Disorder DMG by 16% for 30 seconds when Freeze is triggered.

ZZZ 2.7 events and story

The main story content in 2.7 is the Season 2 Epilogue, titled New: Eridan Sunset A, where the Proxies enter the Hollow Champion tournament. The tournament is sponsored by Rusty Cliff Corp, with one billion Dennies and a rare Porcelloy W-Engine on the line. Cissia's undercover investigation into the event runs alongside the main competition, and the new boss Black Wolf Romeul is set to appear.

The 2.7 Livestream also teased a lore segment called The Three-Pronged Pact, introducing a group called TOPS and three named figures: Lead Scepter, Tin Crown, and Copper Ring. Lead Scepter appears to be targeting an isolated island as their next region and is connected to Youkai, with the Phaethon Siblings mentioned in their plans. This segment is clearly setting up the story direction for Season 3.

On the event side, the Chronicle of Simmering Flavors is worth prioritizing because it rewards The Simmering Pot, a free A-Rank W-Engine. Other events include Special Disaster Control Squad, Old Friends, New Commissions, Adventure Footage Freeze Frame, and Battle Trial: Tidal Wave, which updates the Simulated Battle Trial with new scoring bonuses tied to recent agents.

ZZZ 2.7 pull priority at a glance

The pull picture in 2.7 is unusually clean. Nangong Yu is the clear priority, the other three are situational, and saving for 2.8 is a reasonable move if none of the remaining units fill a gap in your roster. For more ZZZ content and the latest gaming guides, browse more guides on GAMES.GG.
