Forza Motorsport 6: Apex Premium ...

The Spring season of Forza Horizon 6's first festival playlist is winding down, and the Astro Toy photo challenge is one of the last boxes to tick before the rewards lock. The challenge sounds more confusing than it is, mostly because the hint image shows a rocket and most players assume that's what they need to photograph. They're wrong. Here's exactly what you need to do.

What is the Astro Toy photo challenge?

The Astro Toy challenge asks you to take a photo of a Track Toy at the Irokawa Space Centre, located in the southeast corner of the Nangan region at the very southern tip of the map. The Space Centre sits close to the Launch Control wristband event, the Irokawa Circuit road race, and the Nangan Cross-Country Circuit, so you may have already driven past it.

The key confusion point: you do not need the HZN-VI Rocket in your shot. The rocket is a Discover Japan photography target, not a requirement here. What matters is your vehicle class.

What counts as a Track Toy in FH6?

Track Toys are a specific car class in Forza Horizon 6, distinct from sports cars or supercars. Examples from the sources include the BAC Mono, Chevrolet Camaro, Chevrolet Corvette, Nissan GT-R NISMO, KTM X-Bow, and the Ariel Atom. If you're buying one fresh from the Autoshow, the KTM X-Bow and Ariel Atom are among the more affordable options.

The fastest way to find what you own is to open your garage, filter by the Track Toy category, and select whichever one you prefer. If your garage is empty in that class, head to the Autoshow and apply the same filter there.

How to complete the Astro Toy photo challenge

  1. Open your car menu and filter by Track Toy. Select any vehicle from the list.
  2. Drive to the Irokawa Space Centre in the southeast of the Nangan region.
  3. Once inside the Space Centre area, stop your car.
  4. Press Up on the D-pad (controller) or P (keyboard) to open Photo Mode.
  5. Frame your shot so the Track Toy is clearly visible. The rocket can be in the background, but it is not required.
  6. Press A (controller) or the confirm key to take the photo.

On completion, you earn the "Beam Me Up!" Forza Link phrase and 3 Festival Playlist points toward your Spring seasonal total.

Does the rocket need to be in the photo?

No. Both sources confirm this clearly: the challenge only checks that you are in a Track Toy and within the Space Centre boundary. The HZN-VI Rocket is a separate photography target tied to the Discover Japan challenges. If you want to knock out both at once, frame the rocket in the background of your Track Toy shot. Two challenges, one stop.

What are the Spring season rewards?

The Astro Toy challenge is part of the broader Spring Festival Playlist for Series 1. Completing enough challenges across the season unlocks two cars:

  • 1996 Toyota Starlet Glanza V
  • 1974 Toyota Corolla SR5

The Astro Toy photo nets 3 points. Stack it with other Spring tasks to hit the threshold. If you're still working through the playlist, our guide covering all Welcome to Japan challenges and rewards has every point requirement in one place.
