Code Vein II Guide ...

The thing is—you don't need to grind for hours to get ahead in Code Vein 2. With the right farming routes and smart execution, you can rack up 23,000 to 43,000 Haze per hour right from the start. These aren't late-game exploits or DLC-locked strategies. They're accessible the moment you reach MagMell Island, and they work with starter weapons.

After testing these routes for over 60 hours, I've optimized every step to maximize your returns without wasting time on inefficient kills or long travel distances. You'll learn exactly where to farm, which weapons to use, and how to clear enemies in under a minute per run.

Why Haze Farming Matters Early

Haze serves as your universal currency in Code Vein 2. You need it to level up, purchase weapons from shops, and stock consumables for tough fights. Running low on Haze means you're stuck grinding randomly or struggling through content underleveled.

The difference between farming efficiently and wandering aimlessly is massive. A well-executed farming loop nets you enough Haze to buy new gear, level up multiple times, and prepare for upcoming boss encounters—all within an hour. What most players miss is that early farming spots remain viable well into the midgame, especially when you're testing new builds or need quick cash for upgrades.

Route 1: Magmell Entrance Loop (23K Haze/Hour)

Your first accessible farm unlocks the moment you reach MagMell Island's open world. This route targets three humanoid enemies positioned along the main road, offering consistent kills with minimal risk.

Location and Access

Fast travel to the Magmell Entrance Mistle near the property gates. You'll recognize this spot from the main story—it's where you first entered the island area. The enemies spawn consistently along the road leading toward the pillar structure.

Optimal Build Setup

Weapon: Ancient Hunter's Twin Blades Blood Code: Noah's E Rank Key Skill: Adrenaline Buff (Relentless Sword Dance)

You can't miss the Twin Blades during your first dungeon run through Clifftop Cavern. Open the treasure chest on your way to completing the area—it's impossible to progress without passing it. The weapon grants early access to the Adrenaline Buff, which boosts your damage output significantly for quick kills.

Noah's E Rank Blood Code comes from natural story progression. You'll receive it automatically as you complete early quests. The build focuses on Dexterity scaling, which synergizes perfectly with the Twin Blades' attack speed.

Execution Strategy

From the Mistle, sprint directly toward the visible pillar structure. Your first target appears distracted near the road—activate your Adrenaline Buff immediately, then land three normal attacks to finish the kill.

Continue to the ruined house where your second enemy waits inside. Cast Relentless Sword Dance once to chunk their health, then follow up with three more normal attacks. A third enemy approaches as you finish the second kill—two normal attacks handle this one easily.

Once all three enemies are down, turn back toward the Mistle. Reset the run and repeat. Each loop takes 51-53 seconds and yields 330 Haze.

Route 2: Ruins Entrance Farm (38K Haze/Hour)

The Ruins farming spot offers significantly better returns than Magmell Entrance, targeting two Corrupted Soldiers and a Horror enemy near the dungeon entrance. This route requires slightly more combat skill but pays off with higher Haze gains.

Location Details

Head to the Ruins Side Dungeon marked on your map in the first major area. The entrance sits southeast of MagMell Island's central hub. Activate the Mistle outside the dungeon before starting your farming runs.

Build Recommendations

Primary Weapon: Battered VK Longsword (starter weapon) Alternative: Ameno Habakiri (Deluxe Edition) Blood Code: Noah's D Rank Offensive Forma: Stateman's Longbow

The Battered VK Longsword is your starting weapon, making this route accessible to everyone. Its Phantom Assault skill ranks among the best abilities in the entire game, allowing you to nullify incoming attacks while countering with two powerful slashes.

If you own the Deluxe Edition, the Ameno Habakiri katana provides access to Looming Slash and Sacrificial Edge—both devastating skills for burst damage. However, the standard longsword works perfectly fine for this route.

Pick up the Stateman's Longbow from the treasure chest near the Ruins entrance. You'll use this ranged weapon to snipe the Horror enemy from safety.

Combat Flow

Enter the dungeon and immediately turn left. Cast Phantom Assault (or Looming Slash with the katana) to engage the first Corrupted Soldier, then finish with three normal attacks.

Perform a 180-degree turn to face the second Corrupted Soldier across the room. Repeat your opening skill, followed by a single normal attack to secure the kill.

Move toward the clearing and switch to your Stateman's Longbow. Snipe the Horror enemy from range—this adds 501 Faze to your total without risking melee combat.

Return to the dungeon entrance, reset at the Mistle, and repeat. Each run takes 48-50 seconds.

Route 3: Inner Magmell Elite Farm (43K Haze/Hour)

This route represents the absolute best early-game farming spot you can access. It targets a stronger Corrupted Soldier variant paired with a regular soldier, both positioned inside MagMell's property grounds. The Elite enemy hits harder but drops significantly more Haze.

Accessing the Farm

Fast travel to the same Magmell Entrance Mistle used in Route 1. Instead of following the road, enter MagMell's property and sprint up the steep slope leading deeper into the grounds. You'll encounter your targets guarding the upper area.

Weapon and Skills

Weapon: Battered VK Longsword Blood Code: Noah's D Rank Core Skill: Phantom Assault

This route relies entirely on the Phantom Assault skill's defensive properties and counter damage. The skill lets you dash through enemy attacks while dealing damage, making it perfect for handling the Elite Soldier's aggressive patterns.

Advanced Technique

Sprint up the slope until both enemies come into view. Run to the right side of the area, focusing on the regular Corrupted Soldier first. Target-lock and cast Phantom Assault to close distance and deal damage.

Roll backward immediately to avoid the Elite Soldier's follow-up attack. Wait for the Elite's attack animation to complete, then cast another Phantom Assault to potentially damage both enemies at once. You don't need to hit both—prioritizing the regular soldier is essential.

Roll away again to bait another Elite attack. Counter with Phantom Assault once the opening appears. This sequence should eliminate the regular soldier.

The Elite Soldier often becomes staggered at this point, allowing you to squeeze in a normal attack. Cast Phantom Assault again to exploit the stagger window. Time your final Phantom Assault carefully—you can phase through the Elite's last attack with proper timing.

Finish with normal attacks once the Elite staggers again. These attacks deal enough damage to end the fight without triggering the lengthy Jail critical animation.

Each run takes 57-59 seconds and yields 680 Haze—nearly double Route 1's returns.

Pro Tip: Skip the Jail critical finisher entirely. The animation wastes precious seconds that add up over multiple runs. Normal attacks end fights faster.

Scaling These Routes Into Midgame

These farming spots remain viable well beyond the early game. Once you reach level 10-15, you can transition to more advanced farming locations like the Sunken City. However, these starter routes still serve as excellent Haze sources when you need quick cash for new weapons or want to test different builds without committing to longer farming sessions.

The Inner Magmell Elite Farm in particular scales surprisingly well. With upgraded weapons and higher-tier Blood Codes, you can reduce clear times to under 50 seconds, pushing your hourly gains even higher.

Transitioning to Advanced Farms

Once you've mastered these early routes and accumulated enough Haze to purchase better gear, you'll naturally progress to more lucrative farming spots. The Sunken City offers significantly higher returns at level 10+, with some routes yielding 88K+ Haze per hour.

However, don't rush this transition. These starter routes teach fundamental combat mechanics, Phantom Assault timing, Ichor management, and efficient routing, that apply to every farming spot in the game. Master the basics here, and you'll dominate advanced farms when you reach them.

For now, focus on perfecting your execution on these three routes. Check out our Code Vein 2 Beginners Guide for more early-game strategies, or dive into our Blood Code Guide to understand stat optimization better. If you're curious about partner mechanics, our Partner Synergy Guide breaks down everything you need to know.

The key here is consistency. Pick one route, master it completely, then move to the next. By the time you've farmed enough Haze to buy your ideal weapon loadout, you'll have the combat fundamentals locked down for the rest of the game.
