Attack on Titan 3 Confirmed For Launch on December 10

Omega Force has locked in a release date for Attack on Titan 3: December 10, priced at $69.99 across PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PC, and Nintendo Switch 2. The announcement confirms this entry covers the entire manga and anime saga from beginning to end, making it the most complete Attack on Titan game the studio has shipped.

What Omega Force is actually changing this time

The pitch for Attack on Titan 3 leans hard into the word "rebuilt." Cutscenes have been redone, and the game introduces new story developments centered around fighting the Nine Titans specifically, which is a notable expansion beyond what the previous entries offered. The Omni-Directional Mobility system has been overhauled for more flexibility, including an optional simplified control scheme for players who want to focus on the story rather than the mechanics.

Here's the thing though: the Titans themselves are less predictable this time around. That's a deliberate design choice to push combat encounters away from the pattern-recognition loop that made the earlier games feel repetitive after a few hours. Whether that translates to genuinely tense fights or just unpredictable hitboxes remains to be seen come December.

Special Exterior missions add a co-op-adjacent layer, letting you fight alongside squadmates in open field battles. The details on how those missions are structured are still thin, but it signals Omega Force is building out the loop beyond the standard story mode.

Edition breakdown and what you actually get

Two editions are available at launch:

The 72-hour early access period for the Digital Deluxe Edition does not apply to Nintendo Switch 2. Switch 2 buyers who go Deluxe still get the cosmetic content, just not the head-start.

The $20 premium for the Deluxe edition is fairly standard for the genre. The Character Customization Pack and Original Equipment Pack are the real draws there if you plan to put serious hours in.

Save data carry-over from Attack on Titan 2

Players who have save data from Attack on Titan 2 or its Final Battle expansion can transfer it into Attack on Titan 3 for an in-game bonus gift. Omega Force hasn't specified what that gift is yet, which is either a smart way to build anticipation or a sign it hasn't been finalized. Either way, it's a nice nod to returning players rather than treating the new entry as a complete reset.

The full saga framing is interesting context for anyone who played the earlier Omega Force entries. Attack on Titan 2 covered up through Season 3 of the anime, so this third entry is presumably filling in the final arc, though the studio hasn't broken down the chapter coverage explicitly yet.

December 10 and what comes before it

With four months between now and launch, expect Omega Force and Koei Tecmo to roll out more gameplay footage and mode details closer to the holiday window. The December 10 date puts it squarely in the middle of the year's busiest release period, so the competition for attention will be real.

If you're jumping in fresh or want to get ahead before launch, the Yakuza Kiwami 3 & Dark Ties page is a good example of how Omega Force's parent studio handles action game sequels with deep legacy content. For players who want to sharpen their approach to action games before December, browsing the gaming guides hub is worth your time, and the Yakuza Kiwami 3 beginner strategies guide gives a solid read on how Omega Force structures its combat systems across titles.
