Best Buy Tech Fest vs Prime Day: 12 Gaming Deals to Know

Prime Day gets all the headlines, but Best Buy is running its own counter-sale right now called Tech Fest, and for gamers, it's worth paying attention to both storefronts at the same time.

Here's the thing: a lot of Prime Day gaming deals are genuinely strong, but Best Buy's Tech Fest is targeting some of the same hardware categories with its own price drops, particularly on Copilot+ PCs, gaming monitors, and peripherals. Knowing which deals are actually worth your money across both sales is the real game here.

The PC gaming deals that stand out

Best Buy's Tech Fest is leading with up to $650 off 2026 Copilot+ PCs featuring Snapdragon X2 and Ryzen AI 400 chips. That's a meaningful discount on genuinely new hardware, not last year's clearance stock. For anyone who's been waiting to build or upgrade a gaming PC setup, this is a better entry point than most of what's appeared in previous sale cycles.

On the monitor side, LG's UltraGear 720Hz dual-mode OLED gaming monitor has dropped $300 from its regular price, hitting its lowest price point ahead of Prime Day. That 720Hz figure is not a typo. Dual-mode lets it switch between high refresh and lower-latency configurations depending on what you're playing. The Samsung 49-inch ultrawide 240Hz Odyssey G9 also landed at an all-time low of $665, which is a serious panel at a price that's hard to argue with for ultrawide fans.

For pre-built desktop buyers, Acer's Nitro 60 with an RTX 5060 is sitting at $898 at Walmart, and the RTX 5070 version of the same chassis is at $1,539. Both are competitive for their respective GPU tiers right now. The Thermaltake RTX 5060 Ti build with 32GB RAM at $1,100 (down $500) is arguably the strongest value in that bracket if raw performance-per-dollar is the priority.

Console and portable gaming picks

The Nintendo Switch 2 is seeing rare console-level discounts, with deals appearing from $399. That's notable because a price hike is coming, so buying before that adjustment saves real money. Switch 2 game sales are also running in parallel, with titles like Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, Super Mario Galaxy 1 and 2, and Street Fighter available at up to 50% off.

important
The Nintendo Switch 2 console discount is positioned as a pre-price-hike deal. If you've been sitting on the fence about picking one up, this week is the practical window to act before costs increase.

The Meta Quest 3S is down to $297, its lowest price since the recent price hike. That's a solid entry point for anyone curious about VR gaming without committing to the full Quest 3 price.

Samsung's P9 Express 256GB microSD is at 50% off for $40, which is a straightforward upgrade for Switch 2 storage and one of the cleaner deals in this entire sale window.

Peripherals and audio worth noting

Sony's PlayStation PULSE Explore earbuds are half off for the first time, landing at $99. That's a significant drop for a PlayStation-native audio product that doesn't usually see heavy discounts. The Sony INZONE in-ear monitor and ANC headphones are also at their lowest prices for Prime Day.

Razer's Kishi V3 and Pro USB-C mobile controllers with TMR joysticks are starting from $61, their lowest prices to date. For mobile gaming on Android, these remain the most capable option in the category.

The ASUS ROG Harpe II Ace ultralight wireless gaming mouse hit a new all-time low at $90. At 54 grams, it's built for competitive play, and $90 is a fair price for what it offers.

For keyboard builders, Glorious' GMMK 3 65% DIY barebones kit is down to $40, which is a genuinely low entry price for a quality hot-swap board. Keychron keyboards are starting at $30 during Prime Day, covering the budget end of the mechanical keyboard market.

Sales like these tend to move fast on the hardware side, especially pre-built PCs and consoles where stock is finite. If any of these line up with something you've been planning to buy, the window is open right now across both Best Buy's Tech Fest and Prime Day simultaneously.
