Crimson Desert launched players into the vast open world of Pywel without exactly holding their hand when it comes to getting around. The fast travel system exists, but it's subtle enough that plenty of players are wandering on horseback far longer than they need to.
Two Types of Teleport Points, One Confusing Map Icon
Crimson Desert splits its fast travel network into two distinct categories: Abyss Nexus points and Abyss Cresset points. The difference matters. Abyss Nexus locations unlock the moment you step on them, no strings attached. Abyss Cresset points are a bit more involved, typically requiring players to solve a puzzle before they become active.
Before you've unlocked either type, both show up on the map under the same vague label: "mysterious energy" locations. That's the same tag used for other unidentified points of interest, which makes it easy to scroll right past them without realizing what you're looking at.
Once unlocked, both types flip to a distinct blue icon on the map. From there, hovering over one and selecting Teleport is all it takes.

Certain quests and specific locations will block fast travel entirely. If the option isn't appearing, check whether an active quest is restricting your movement.
Finding Hidden Waypoints with Blinding Flash
Here's the thing most players won't figure out on their own: protagonist Kliff has an ability called Blinding Flash that reveals nearby points of interest, including potential fast travel locations. On a controller, hold LB and RB simultaneously. On keyboard, hold Ctrl and click the left mouse button.
While Blinding Flash is active, blue circular light effects appear in the distance marking nearby points of interest. They don't guarantee a fast travel point at every location, but they're the most reliable way to spot Abyss Nexus and Abyss Cresset locations before stumbling into them by accident.
The key here is to use it regularly while exploring, especially when entering new regions. Pywel is enormous, and the difference between having a fast travel point nearby and not having one can mean several minutes of travel time.

The Abyss Realm Has Its Own Network (With a Catch)
Fast travel doesn't stop at ground level. The floating islands of the Abyss realm contain their own set of teleport points, but there's a significant limitation: only Kliff can use them. Damiane, the other playable character, is locked out of the Abyss fast travel network entirely.
Players automatically unlock their first Abyss-based fast travel point early in the main story, just before entering the Axiom Archive. From there, following the Path of Providence southeast opens up additional Abyss waypoints progressively. According to guides published at launch, the three fast travel points nearest to Hernand Castle are among the most useful to grab early, alongside the first three Abyss realm locations. Getting those six locked in early gives you a solid foundation for navigating both layers of the world without backtracking constantly. Make sure to check out more:
