Boss In Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 2

Three bosses went live on day one of Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 2, and a fourth is already confirmed to be joining them. Each one holds loot worth fighting for, but right now only one is dropping a mythic weapon. The rest? Still legendary tier, with mythic drops described as coming “any day now.”

The Boss Roster: What Launched, What Didn't

Four bosses are planned for this season. Three arrived with the update: Dark Voyager Echo, The Ice King (flanked by Lady Windfrost), and Dread Punisher Squibbly. The fourth, The Foundation, is currently sitting at New Sanctuary as a friendly NPC rather than a hostile encounter, though the Ice King's Battle Pass quests actively nudge players toward picking a fight with him.

Spawn locations are spread across the map, with bosses rotating between a handful of preferred spots:

  • Dark Dominion (shared between Dark Voyager Echo and Ice King)
  • Frigid Fortress (Ice King's secondary spawn)
  • Coast south of Battlewood Boulevard (Dark Voyager Echo)
  • Lighthouse southwest of Squibbly Shores (Dread Punisher Squibbly)
  • Squibbly Shores (Dread Punisher Squibbly)

Dark Voyager Echo: Drone Support Makes Him Dangerous

Dark Voyager Echo patrols Dark Dominion or the coast south of Battlewood Boulevard. What makes him tricky is his ability to summon drones that fire laser pulses at anyone engaging him. That means you're not just fighting one target, you're managing multiple sources of damage at once.

On defeat, he drops the Dark Voyager Obliterator Shotgun, a shield potion, and 1,000 gold. He's currently the only active boss in the season dropping a mythic weapon, which makes him a high-priority target for players who want the best loot in the lobby.

The Ice King and Lady Windfrost: A Two-for-One Problem

The Ice King is never alone. Lady Windfrost stays by his side, throwing Chug Splashes to keep him healed while also putting pressure on attackers with her own firepower. The Ice King himself hits back with ice blasts and a wide-area blizzard attack that punishes anyone who stays still.

Here's the thing: Lady Windfrost doesn't need to be eliminated separately. She goes down automatically when the Ice King falls, so spending ammo on her is a waste. Keep moving to dodge her shots, grab high ground when possible, and focus fire on the Ice King.

Right now he drops a legendary assault rifle and a self-revive kit alongside 1,000 gold. His mythic weapon hasn't activated yet but is expected soon.

Dread Punisher Squibbly: The One With a Stealth Trick

Dread Punisher Squibbly is a darker version of the familiar Fortnite character, and he's found near the lighthouse southwest of Squibbly Shores or closer to the floating fragment at the center of the area. His moveset includes assault rifle fire, exploding squid throws, and a stealth ability that makes him harder to track.

What most players miss: the stealth isn't true invisibility. There's a visible shimmer if you look carefully, so don't panic and retreat when he goes quiet. Stay locked on and keep firing.

Currently he drops a legendary assault rifle, extra exploding squids, and 1,000 gold. Like Ice King, his mythic weapon is still pending.
