Our GAM3 Awards, a prominent fixture in the realm of web3 gaming, are making a triumphant return this December 2023. The event's distinguished panel of judges has been unveiled, featuring a mix of familiar figures from 2022 and new representatives spanning various aspects of web3 gaming. Notable newcomers to the panel include experts from web3 gaming venture capital firms, blockchain and ecosystem specialists, infrastructure partners, and content creators, in addition to renowned gaming leaders and tech giants such as Amazon and Google.
We are proud to introduce one of our jury members Alliestrasza. Allie has been a partnered twitch streamer for 7 years. Through her hearthstone content, she has amassed more than 300,000 followers across her various social media channels. She has worked on campaigns with companies such as Blizzard, Riot, ESPN, Hasbro, and more. In Web 3, she continues to work with top brands such as Parallel and is building her own game on Solana, Alchemy: Battle for Ankhos.
1. What is the most enjoyable part of your role?
“I get to share my love of playing games through entertaining people across the world. Building a community of likeminded people that can all share in the same passion is a deeply rewarding part of what I do.”
2. How do you see the progress made in web3 gaming since last year?
“The overall quality of games being released today is much higher and it's been awesome to see a bigger focus on gameplay over economy. That said, I still think the industry has a long way to go in order to compete with the legacy game industry and the quality of their titles.”
3. What is the most valuable addition web3 brings into gaming, from your perspective, if any?
“My favorite part of web3 is player asset ownership. When players actually own the in game assets, it opens up all sorts of possibilities to the players such as trading for what they want, borrowing things from friends, and communal sharing of game assets. I'm excited to see the potential of web3 game economies in high quality titles over the coming years.”
4. What is your outlook on 2024 and beyond for web3 gaming?
“2024 is shaping up to have some exciting game releases, and I think we will see at least one fun-first game take a larger stage within the traditional world of gaming.”
