Nicole is finally getting a release date. The long-teased Hexenzirkel Mage, who first appeared in the Nod-Krai trailer before Luna I launched, is now confirmed playable in Genshin Impact's upcoming Luna VII update, with beta leaks revealing her full kit, constellations, and the materials you'll need to build her.
A Hexenzirkel mage with a unique backstory
Nicole carries the codename 'N' within the Hexenzirkel and communicates telepathically with those around her. According to lore revealed through leaks, she is the last surviving member of the Angel race created by the Heavenly Principles, giving her deep knowledge of the laws of Teyvat. That lore hook alone makes her one of the more narratively interesting characters Hoyoverse has introduced in recent memory.
Her base stats put her at 10,409 HP, 342 ATK, and 562 DEF, with a bonus stat of 28.8% ATK. As a 5-star Pyro Catalyst, she fills the sub-DPS and support slot rather than functioning as a pure carry.
What Nicole's kit actually does
Nicole's Elemental Skill, Revelation: Uncreated Light, buffs the ATK of all nearby allies and deals AoE Pyro damage while generating a Shield of Blazing Light. The shield's absorption scales from Nicole's ATK and absorbs Pyro damage at 250% effectiveness.
Her Elemental Burst, Revelation: Ladder of Divine Ascent, shifts her into Silent Contemplation mode. While active, every hit from a nearby party member summons an Arcane Projection to perform a coordinated attack, dealing elemental damage of that character's type. The key here is that the damage counts as the active character's own output and scales from their ATK, not Nicole's. This effect can trigger once every 3 seconds, up to 5 times per Silent Contemplation activation.
Her passive setup rewards team composition. The Methexis passive upgrades the Grace of Kenosis buff to Guidance of Theosis after an observed character stays on the field for 3 seconds, adding 300 ATK. Hexerei characters skip that wait and get the upgrade instantly. The Philokalia passive triggers the same upgrade whenever a nearby party member deals elemental damage, making the buff relatively easy to maintain in any active rotation.
The Witch's Eve Rite passive is where it gets specific: with at least 2 Hexerei characters in the party, Nicole's Arcane Projections deal bonus damage equal to 150% of her ATK. That's a meaningful incentive to build Hexenzirkel-focused teams around her.
info
Nicole's kit is based on beta leaks and may change before her official release on May 20. Hoyoverse adjusts character kits during beta, so treat specific numbers as subject to revision.
Constellations worth knowing about
Nicole's constellation lineup has some standout options. C2 is notable: it adds 240 ATK to Grace of Kenosis, reduces nearby opponents' elemental resistance to the active character's element by 20%, and extends shields to all active party members on Elemental Skill use. That resistance shred alone makes C2 a significant power spike for players who want to invest.
C6 removes the reversion mechanic entirely, meaning Guidance of Theosis no longer drops back to Grace of Kenosis once applied. Characters with Guidance of Theosis also ignore 40% of opponents' DEF. For players who can reach C6, that's a substantial damage ceiling increase across the whole team.
Ascension and talent materials to start farming
Here's what you'll need to ascend Nicole to level 90:
Maxing all three talents to level 10 requires significantly more investment:
The Elysium talent books and Warrant drops are farmable now if you're already running the relevant domains. The new weekly boss material will presumably unlock with Luna VII content, so you'll want to prioritize Warrant farming and Mora accumulation in the meantime.
Release window and what comes next
Nicole releases on May 20, 2026 as part of the first phase of Genshin Impact Luna VII (version 6.6). Hoyoverse's drip marketing confirmed her banner window, following the same pattern as previous updates where the first drip character lands in phase one. The second phase of Luna VII is expected to feature Lohen.
For players tracking the full Luna VII roster and banner schedule, you'll want to browse more guides as Hoyoverse continues rolling out official information closer to the update. Nicole's kit is shaping up to make her a strong pick for Hexenzirkel team compositions, and the window between now and May 20 gives you a solid runway to stockpile Mora and farm her ascension materials.
