GTA 6 Leaker Subpoena Namedrop A Known Content Creator

The GTA 6 leak situation just pulled in someone most people didn't expect. Take-Two's ongoing legal push to unmask the person behind the CYBERLEEK leaks has now named DarkViperAU (real name Matthew "Matt" Judge), a popular Australian content creator known for his GTA content, in a Discord subpoena.

If you've been following the Grand Theft Auto 6 leak saga, you know it's been escalating fast. The alleged leaker has been dropping footage, map details, and gameplay clips at a relentless pace, even claiming to have access to an early build of the game. Take-Two responded by subpoenaing both Microsoft and Discord to help identify who's behind it all.

How DarkViperAU ended up in the paperwork

Take-Two's Discord subpoena isn't targeting DarkViperAU directly as a suspect. The document references a Discord server connected to his community, specifically listed as discord.gg/darkviperau. The legal filing appears to be casting a wide net, looking at accounts that interacted with the leaker through Discord servers, and his community server got swept up in that search.

DarkViperAU addressed the situation publicly on X, and his explanation is pretty straightforward. He says he has no knowledge of the leaks, that the server referenced in the subpoena is not his editors' Discord, and that no leaked clips were shared in either of his servers. He also confirmed Rockstar hasn't contacted him directly, and his read on that is simple: if they genuinely thought he was involved, they would have reached out.

tip
DarkViperAU is a well-known GTA speedrunner and content creator with a large YouTube following. His community Discord servers are fan-focused spaces, not private leak distribution channels.

The driving comment that made things weird

Here's the thing that makes this story genuinely strange. DarkViperAU had previously called out the leaker publicly for being bad at driving in the leaked footage. Shortly after that comment, clips from CYBERLEEK started including the phrase "Cyberleek can't drive" as if responding directly to him.

That back-and-forth suggests the leaker was watching DarkViperAU's commentary and reacting to it in real time. Whether that means the leaker visited his Discord or was just following his public posts, DarkViperAU says he genuinely doesn't know, and that the whole thing has left him confused about how his name ended up in legal documents.

It's worth keeping in mind that subpoenas at this stage are information-gathering tools, not accusations. Take-Two is trying to trace every digital thread connected to the leaker, and a Discord server that the leaker may have browsed is enough to get it named in a filing.

What this tells us about Take-Two's approach

The fact that Take-Two is pulling Discord server data and naming specific community spaces tells you how seriously they're treating this. The company has already lost significant market value in the wake of the CYBERLEEK releases, and they're clearly not treating this as a PR nuisance they can wait out.

For the GTA community, the collateral effect here is real. Creators who have no involvement in leaks are now finding their names in legal filings simply because the leaker may have passed through their spaces. That's an uncomfortable position for anyone running a public Discord.

With Take-Two's legal push still in motion, the next few weeks could bring more names into the picture. If you want to stay current on everything confirmed about the game itself, the GTA 6 editions guide covering prices and pre-order bonuses and the broader GTA 6 guide collection are good places to track what's actually been announced officially.
