Resident Evil Requiem Will Feature Leon ...

The free Leon Must Die Forever DLC for Resident Evil Requiem is already pushing post-game players to their limits. It is a roguelite-style minigame built around random weapon drops, branching routes, and a final showdown with a boss named Victor that, according to early guides, absolutely earns its place at the end of the mode.

Here's the thing: most players are grinding through every encounter, collecting points for the Ability Enhancer, and building up resources before they ever see Victor's arena. But there is a much faster path through the mode, and the speedrun community is already mapping it out.

The rooftop route to Victor

The three-zone path that skips almost everything

The fastest confirmed route through Leon Must Die Forever runs across just three locations: Main Street, then the Care Center: Rehabilitation Ward, then East Raccoon City: Central Camp, straight into Victor. That is it. No side detours, no optional arenas, no farming encounters for upgrade points.

On Main Street, the key move is ignoring almost every enemy entirely. There is a weapon chest to the right of where bystanders scatter at the start, and grabbing whatever is inside takes only a few seconds. After that, the red door leading to the Rehabilitation Ward is directly ahead.

The Rehabilitation Ward plays almost identically to its main campaign version. A Slot Expansion and a few Spinners are available in the room, but the real priority is the chainsaw. Breaking down the double doors with it opens the path forward. Before stepping through the next red door into East Raccoon City, there is a corridor with another weapon chest worth a quick detour.

Getting through the Logistics Warehouse without stopping

The East Raccoon City: Central Camp section is where the speedrun route gets genuinely clever. After entering through the door behind the camp, players reach the Logistics Warehouse. The trick here is using a handgun to shoot down the elevated platforms before sprinting through, which clears the path without triggering prolonged enemy encounters.

Enemies will spawn rapidly throughout the warehouse, but the route relies on movement rather than combat. Keep running, do not stop to engage, and the rooftop is reachable in a fraction of the time a normal clear would take. One final weapon chest sits on the roof just before the red door to Victor's arena.

Three weapon chests for the entire run is a lean loadout. Ammo will be serviceable, but dedicated resources for the boss fight will be scarce. Players who have already put time into mastering the parry and perfect parry mechanics from the main game will find this route far more forgiving than newcomers will.

What this means for players still working through the mode

The speedrun path is not the recommended first approach. The Ability Enhancer upgrades that come from clearing more encounters make a real difference in survivability, and skipping them on an opening run means fighting Victor at a significant disadvantage. The tradeoff is deliberate: this route rewards players who already know the mode well enough to compensate for the missing resources.

For anyone still learning Leon's moveset or getting comfortable with the parry window, a fuller playthrough first makes more sense. Our Leon and Grace gameplay guide covers the parry mechanics and character-specific tips that will make the difference when Victor pushes back hard.

If you are still working out how long a complete run of the mode actually takes, our how long to beat Resident Evil Requiem guide breaks down time estimates across the main story and post-game content. The speedrun community is only just getting started with Leon Must Die Forever, so cleaner routes and faster clears are likely coming as more players log attempts.
